Title: New Arcade Game
Post by: Rahl on April 20, 2009, 05:36:01 AM
Since I am basically done with Survive I've decided to start a new arcade game. And I want this one to be chara related. I was thinking or mabey a packman game. So I went and started scripting and came up with this:

I made this in about 20 minutes tonight. I thought I would through Charas stuff in there if this goes over well. Tell me what you think, and what you would rather see a Charas arcade game of.

Oh. You said scripting, so I assumed it was something else...that requires scripting, rather then drag and drop events

So when you said scripting in the original post, you meant eventing then.
Dude, you should use a simple project like this to get to know scripting. Im sure it wouldnt take long to figure out if you applied yourself to it.
I mean, with RGSS on XP, after one or two tutorials, Youll have the hang of Arrays, Hashs, and doing things like random numbers and variable operations. Ive gotten that far before losing intrest, And I didnt even have a project in mind to apply it to. Give it a go man, earn some geek-cred

You mean, C++ scripting? Because when you talk of variables and random numbers, it makes me think you dont think I don't know how to RPGMscript which is what Im good at.

I like Pie

and that games looks about as exciting as pac man gets. Unless you add flippin fireworks and dueling robots while u eat multi-colored orbs im not down for pac man past 5 minutes. lol

Dueling robots chasing pac man.

Awesoome.
But if someone really wanted to play Pac Man they could just get a emulator and rom in a minute.

You could make space invaders. I freaking love that game, I'd play it again just for kicks, besides it'd make a good mini game for Warped.
