Has anyone played the new maps and survival mode yet?
-
Not yet, but that's because I want to play with my brother, and he's too much of a dick to stop playing with his friends (who seem to have instanced out of his fantasies) so that I can finally try the mode out.
I could do it with strangers, but that could lead to some nasty STDs.
-
I obtained it
legally some time ago but my computer can't handle it. :/
-
Really? My computer runs it better than almost every other game I own. The only games that beat it on my computer were all made before 2000.
I get between 120 and 180 FPS average with full settings (not including the options for multicore processors and dual video cards, but that's only because I lack those). It's gotten to 666 FPS before (sadly, I was too slow for a screen cap).
-
Well, my computer isn't up to date. In other words, it sucks.
However, I'm not sure if it's actually that my computer can't take it, or if I just obtained a bad legal copy.
I didn't bother getting another one, so I'll probably never know.

It's the most over-rated Valve game ever. Really not worth the £30 UNLESS they keep releasing updates for it.
I think Team Fortress 2 shits all over it.
-
Just got back from it. Survival is fun. Certainly a refreshing change of pace from the old campaigns and boring versus (I haven't had fun in versus for a long time). Some ridiculous set ups though. The last stand is hard to survive for 3 minutes, let alone 10.
-
I don't play anything but versus anymore, and the new maps are a nice change.

Well, While I agree that TF2 is a better game, I don't agree with your thoughts on it not being a game worth the cost.
But they better hurry the hell up and release a proper SDK. Custom maps are what drive the FPS community, and Valve knows this better than anyone out theere.

I love l4d havent got to play the new maps or survival yet and sadly i play not on pc but xbox 360 best fps for the 360 personal opinion

best fps for the 360 personal opinion
What the hell does that even mean?
...Oh. Duh. "First-person shooter". I guess I'm still thinking about FPS as "frames per second". It's alright on the 360, but not the "best". The controls feel looser than I'd like. Personally, I find Halo 3 to be the best since everyone seems to have it, the controls are very tight, and the customizability is insane for a console title.
I abuse the hell out of custom games.
EDIT: Played my first (and only) round of it just a minute ago. Pretty fun. Got a gold medal.

Whole heartedly agree. Well, except for the paying part.

Left 4 Dead isn't a bad game in itself, it just brings nothing new to the genre.
I expected some really cool features.... M16, shotgun, rifle? PLEASE!
I want a FPS like Ratchet and Clank, because just shooting stuff with
bog-standard weapons gets boring for me. That's why I play TF2 over
any other ultra-realistic game - because it's fun, quirky and original.

AI Director, boy.

That's just like eating a sandwich but putting the 2 slices of bread on top and the ham underneath the bread.
-
Not getting your analogy.

I think you missed the point of the game. Lazzah rifles don't fit the setting. Also, your use of "ultra-realistic" seems uninformed to me. What exactly do you consider "ultra-realistic"?
And God help me, I will slap the **** out of you if you say "Call of Duty".

Well, it's a hell of a lot more realistic that most games, I'll give you that.
