Title: Opening Event "Slideshow"
Post by: RoninSensai on May 25, 2009, 11:36:58 PM
I have a question, if anybody can help.

I am trying something with my intro/opening event in Rm2k, and I was wondering if it is possible to have a series of pictures in a slideshow type thing. I have the pictures all ready to go, I am just unsure how to go about it.

If the event thingy is like in RM2k3 then this shoudln't be too hard.

Have the event start off with the "Show picture 0001:[YOURPICTURE]"
Then have a wait command(wither wait for the player to press a button or after a couple of seconds.
Erase/move the picture and then add the next one.

Continue like that until you've done.

Thanks! That worked. I have never made an intro for a game until now, so I was kinda lost. I'm still learning as I go along, but once i get everything in 2000 down I am gonna import the game to 3000. I should have made an intro first, but I just dove into everything else.

I had made an opening video in Movie Maker, but the AVI file was massive (35 MB to be exact). I might try to convert it to MPEG and see if that helps.

3000? You mean 2003? Also, you should know that Rm2k isn't completely compatible with Rm2k3, for example, with Harmony.dll, which is involved with the Ineluki Key Patch. (Allows full mouse, keyboard, and mp3 support when installed.)
