Title: This is madness!
Post by: fruckert on May 30, 2009, 04:49:11 AM
But brilliant madness, indeed...I think...not to sure what to think of it so far, I'm having kinda conflicted feelings
What am I talking about?
Oh yeah...the Linux Unified Kernel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_Unified_Kernel), an attempt at grafting the Windows and Linux kernels together, so that they can run each-others apps.

As mentioned before, I think that this can be a brilliant idea, except for a few probably humongous problems, such as viruses, and the probability that it can be slow as all hell

What do you guys think?

Should it be banned from existence for being an unnatural abomination, or should we embrace it, because it might actually be a good idea?

It is an interesting idea. I do like Linux and I do like Windows. Hmmmm...

Though I hate slowness.

Though I hate slowness.
Indeed...that's why I'm currently hating my internet connection (stupid Comcast with their stupid random downtimes)

Anyways, the only reason why I use Windows is because it's so widely supported, and that's what all of the nicer games run
However, if Linux could run Windows programs natively, then I wouldn't need it
Plus, it'd be completely free, thereby making it so that Microsoft can't charge me a liver and a kidney for running Windows programs without Wine (which I consider to be fairly slow, it took it about 20 minutes one time to start a Patchwork Engine demo -_-')

If this ever works, then I'll probably have a new favorite operating system

I love abominations more than natural beings. I'm like Dr. Frankenstein.

Bring it on.

Also, this is Sparta *punt*

Viruses would be made for MAC and Linux if they were more popular, I hate the way people pick on windows. I personally hate MAC with every fiber of my being, and dont really care much about linux. Windows is awesome.

Nah. I left Windows because it was too accessable. I like a little challenge in my everyday life, even if it is just figuring out how to install a Linux program. *COUGHDolphinEmuCOUGH*

Don't mock me, my life is dull. ;.;

I didn't intend to make a reference to 300, just messed-up the sentence. So that means I don't suck. Or so I think.

Would you say I'm right?
