Title: Chrono Trigger Issue
Post by: RoninSensai on June 03, 2009, 04:13:57 PM
Ok, I have a Chrono Trigger rom for the SNES and something strange is happening.

During the part when you have the soup drinking contest with Ayla, I can't get past it. I have done it before, but for some reason it seems endless. I have tried everything from Autofire to using a USB gamepad. Nothing happens, it just goes on and on forever. Any idea how to get past this?

Corrupted ROM, I would bet.

In the original it was a cocktail-drinking contest...

It could be your gamepad. Sometimes those screw up the controls.

It will take a good 50+ hours to do all the dimensional vortexes and get at least half of the endings :3

I watched the new final ending on JewTube and it looked pretty poo-poo.

Also the final hidden boss in the DS one is a push-over.

It looked like it. They didn't even use unique graphics; just a mod of Lavos 1.

. . . .

Dedlelly, while I try to be reasonable and usually free-minded, what's up with the Hitler avatar?

Why are you asking him? He doesn't even know.

It was a from of Time devour, the final boss from Chrono Cross

I know, but it's still not original. I never really played Chrono Cross, because I didn't like the story.

Only if you have status lock on everyone. I didn't and only beat him by having Chrono counterattack with criticals every time he did a move.

Fun fight actually.

I find the original Lavos to be a more fitting ending.

Yeah, a Lavos edit with Lucca plugged on it was pretty lazy. Though, Square didn't really want to do a remake of CT for SOME reason so they kinda hashed that together to try to appease the fans.
