Well, I'm sure you guys get an awful lot of these requests, so I guess I ought to put some effort into this pitch of mine.
My intention is to create and RPG Based on G4's original series Code Monkeys (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1068683/). The reason I am doing this is because the show has a decently large cult following which fears that it will not be renewed for a 3rd season, and want to give them something to enjoy in the meantime.
For those of you familiar with the show, the plot of this game involves Dave giving Todd a drug called "Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake", which brings Todd's disturbing fantasy world into reality. You start off as Dave and Jerry, but are later joined in your effort by Larrity and Black Steve as you fight to return things to normal. The name of the game is Code Monkeys: Chronicles of Toddonia.
To do this, I will need a charset of the characters I've mentioned, and if possible, a some chipsets for RPG maker 2000. The character pixels are practically already mapped out just by looking at a few frames of each character on the show, so it shouldn't be too hard. Whomever does this will of course be credited, and I will be spreading the word of this game everywhere there are code monkeys fans. Help is GREATLY apreciated. Thank you.

I must admit, that is one hell of a plot. Pretty interesting, and fits in with what I remember of watching the show.

Thanks, I try. I figured that with so many requests, the best way to get your own fulfilled would be to make a game that people would actually look forward too.
-
I'm working on fulfilling your request but I need more time so if you can be patient I will keep working at it I'm rather new to the whole thing.
-
Otherwise here all I did was generate some characters that are close to what your looking for and edit them to look more like your guys you could easily finish this yourself its just recoloring and some pixel drawing but basically I did the first two for you so you could just copy those or change whatever you like.

RTP graphics are not the way to go. And I also believe there's something on Sprite Database you'd enjoy...

You can probably use this to help get a start on some charsets as well.
-
Thanks a lot guys. I would prefer the characters be shaped like those on the actual show, but RTPs are acceptable. After all, beggers can't be choosers, lol. That PNG should help a bit, I just have to change the format to RPG Maker 2000.
Also, if there is someone who can do chipsets, that would be greatly appreciated. The facesets and monsters I can do myself.
-
Well I'll see what I can do with that sprite sheet he posted if you want but I'm at work right now so it would have to wait til tomorrow either way unless someone else wants to be helpful.
-
I've just finished turning the Dave spritesheet into an RPG Maker 2000 Compatible spritesheet. Now I just need the other characters (Jerry, Larrity, Black Steve, Mary, Clare, Benny, Todd, Dean and Clarence).
-
Apologies for the double post, but I have just gotten through making a Larrity spriteset (though the chracter is a little big) entirely ny hand, so it appears I am in fact capable of doing charsets.
The chipsets however are a different story. I could really use someones help in making some Gameavision chipsets.
-
Perhaps I'll have a go at it.
-
I'll say right now that I highly suggest the clips from the show as references for everything.
-
That's what I'm doing.
I've run into a bit of a problem with making the charsets. It seems that a few characters (Larrity, Todd and Dean) are too tall to fit within the designated space. Should I upgrade to RPGmXP?
Edit: I tried using XP, but it won't run because it can't obtain a trial serial number from the nTiles server. Any way to fix this?

This bump is totally worth it. Code Monkeys Charset anyone?

If used, give credit.

Hey, got a new request. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would make a c-ck goblin charset to be used as an airship vehicle.
-
First of all, THANK YOU!!!! I love Code Monkeys and I'm actually working on a game myself. I am going to use some of your charsets for my game, and I'll share some of mine with you if you would like. My game is a 2D fighting game, so I will probably only need characters facing Left and right, maybe front. I'm looking forward to the completion of our games.
P.S. I'm pm-ing you my email, please send yours so I can send you sprites.
