Don't care if it was mentioned before. Just tell me this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spyro_the_Dragon_(series)#Animated_feature_film) is a joke.
-
It's looks legit...but I'm too lazy to do researcher.
-
Kinda torn. On one hand, the "From the producers of 'Eragon'" on the poster sounds like a joke because of how poorly-received the Eragon movie was. On the other hand, usually when making up a phony adaptation, you'll use a lot of big names in the voice cast, and Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman just aren't.
-
If that's real, it will be a huge flop. It will be to Spyro fans, like Dragon Ball Evolution was to DBZ fans.
-
Kinda old actually. Been confirmed since production of the DB movie.
-
Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman just aren't.
Don't diss the oldman.
But Wood can suck my hairy toes.
Hanyways they got plenty of references up in there so I'm inclined to think it's real. Looking forward to the CRASH BANDICOOT TIE IN.
-
Im still waiting for my samus movie... even if it'll suck down to hell
-
They'd just turn the Samus movie into mindless T&A like they do every female "superhero" movie.
-
I know. I just know. they can mess it up more than a thousand ways... But.. but... it's Sammy's turn to be on the big tele ;.;
-
But Wood can suck my hairy toes.
...you're a hobbit?
-

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Metroid just can't translate into movies very well...it'd be boring as all hell.
The fun in Metroid is around the exploration, and finding out how to get into other places due to the cool little gadgets that you've found in other places.
Not blowing up Space Pirates, shooting Ridley in the face and Samus being hot.
Or at least that's my interpretation.
Anyways, about he Spyro film...it can be good, it can be bad, but more than likely, it'll be just...ok...
Not really a shitfest, but not really...what's a good VG-Movie adaption?
-
Videogames and cartoons don't translate well to movies because people like to modify the characters and improvise a lot. It's "Hollywoodization" and ruins a lot of movie adaptations.
-
Spyro_the_Dragon film i ask at my brothers cartoonchaos site
and i finding out what news they have i keep you posted
-
Check IMDB to see if Elija Wood is really working on it.
Also, THIS IS AWESOME. So long as it's like the first three games. WHICH IT WONT BE.
-
More likely than not, it won't be like the games.
-
My own research says its on the Spyro 'trilogy.'
It confuses me because there are more than three games.

"[...] going to be based on the recently released Legend of Spyro trilogy of games in the Spyro the Dragon series. [...]"
-
Oh the... RECENT... ones... uhhuh...
-
In that case:
*runs for the hills*

I'm so glad I don't have any fond memories of Spyro for this film to soil.
The only "spyro" I know gets facestabs like you wouldn't believe.

The Hollywood Formula:
Fantastic Childhood Memories - What Made it Great + Possibility of Money = PHAIL
Seriously. That's how they do it. I'm convinced.
-
:C
I remember playing the first one on my ol' PSX
*tears*

That IS how they do it.
-
Well I loved the new first new games and Dawn of The Dragon is my favorite so if it's actualy based on the story it could be good...but
-
No, Fish. Shut up.
-
Actually, the only thing that makes people hate game-based movies is their heart beloved bias.
i heard about the DBZ movie when the rumors where first spreading, I was skeptic. I saw it, I wanted that time of my life back. However as horrible a lot of people think I liked the RE adaptions. The 1st and 2nd ones anyways; third one was stupid, and I am sure 4th is gonna go to hell. But if they do something cool with Wesky, who knows it might be "enjoyable".
Every movie can go wrong. But I think this Spyro thing might not be so bad. The stories where simplistic and the atmosphere always had a free cartoonish-fantasy-ish theme. I think it could work.
-
That is, until they tried to start making him more "hardcore". XD!!
-
Yeah I really like the first two games. Those were the good ol sony days.
-
Ah, the 90s. A time where colors in games was "in", camera angles were piss-poor, you could count the polys for characters on one hand, and even the gayest of settings could be accepted by the general gaming public.
I miss every aspect of gaming in the 90s.
-
Indubitably.

Don't forget the fart jokes!
-
Oh right, through in random fart/toilet humor. That always gets the audience! ... ... ... ... ... :\
