So, it's 3:41 right now. I just got home from seeing a midnight release of the new Transformers movie, and I gotta' say...
IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!
Of course, Megan Fox running in slow motion only made it better :D
What do you guys think of the movie? Are you going to see it? If you already have, what's your opinion?
-
Of course knowing Megan Fox being completely digitally painted makes it that much worse.
I'm going to see it soon because well come on its Transformers.
Though i'm looking more forward to seeing Blood: The Last Vampire more even though the dialogue in it looks cliche and cheesy.

Never heard of it...what exactly is it?

Live action adaption of the anime movie Blood The Last Vampire that spawned the anime series Blood +

I liked the first one for what it was. It wasn't phenomenal, but it was okay. The real pleasure came from the theater experience. There's nothing like feeling the ground rumble beneath your feet as you watch a Camaro convert into giant robot and skid across the freeway.
There's also nothing like feeling the bulge in your pants get bigger as you watch Megan Fox slowly lean over the open hood of a car

Honestly, I'm pretty worried about what they've done to the Transformers story.
-
I wouldn't know. Was never into Transformers. The toys are neat, though.
-
I used to watched Transformers as a kid. The movie depiction of Megatron looks like randomly assembled junk.

How do I watched Transformers?!

That's because him turning into a giant gun (I think that's what he was...) would just look silly, so they turned him into what appeared to be just a stock transformer that hasn't taken a disguise yet. Which is odd, seeing as he was in a military base type thing.

Plot hole?
-
Not really, seeing as all of our technology apparently got sucked out of him, making it so that he can turn into whatever the hell he wants.
As evidenced by when he turns into a jet.

Wow that was debated alot. Since he apparently crashed and got frozen there was nothing there for him to scan and transform into so he kept transforming into a Cybertronian jet. I guess since he was chasing the allspark and he was to preoccupied to go find something he would want to Transform into.
The new movie story looks fine as long as they don't decide to throw Unicron in it should be fine.

HOLY YES LINKS PLEASE

HOLY YES LINKS PLEASE
Dude...they're not that hard to find.
-
Yeah, you're right.
-
Hawt.
-
*cracks knuckles*
Whelp...
I'm gonna go see this on Saturday
Expect a biting/kiss-assing review in two days.
-
But that's the fun part!
-
i thought it was good... didn't see the first one though.... and cops got me and hawkfrost on the way to my house.... past curfu and obviously cause we went to the midnight showing

Am I the only one who doesn't think that Megan Fox is special?
I mean, she looks just like all the other holywood actress - except her hair is not blonde.
I've seen far better than that anyway.
And yeah - Swedish media hates the transformers movies. More or less writes about it as Michel Bay's slaughtering of everything that once was holy. And that it's a lot like that Herbie movie. Take some old show, ad a hot actress, add a lot of special effects and you're done.
Also, they said that the latest Terminator movie was a transformers movie in disguise.
We have some pretty unique thoughts.
-
I loved this move, much better than the first and I really liked that one too.
-
Nah, I will not be able to see this one. My eyes are still trying to recover from the last Transformers movie.

I don't find her that special especially not since they spent so much money to make her look good in the movie. I still have yet to see but most people here says its good then other people I know say it sucked so i'm torn about having to drive 2 hours to go see its with people I know.
-
I've heard people complain about the movie all the time, but then they forget one thing.
The story was never that important. At all.
Basically, all we ever want is this. Robots transforming. Nothing more, nothing less. It's the reason we kept seeing the old cartoons, it's the reason we kept reading the comics.
-
^ indeed. All the transformer generations were different and I never really linked them together. So I am basically taking ths transformer series as a separate of their own.
As for this movie, it's awesome. But I can't help to feel a bit disappointed. Too many pieces left aside. And it ends too sudden. We beat the bad guy, credit roll!

Excluding this thread I have heard absolutely nothing good about this movie. It's all "disappointment" this and "all other transformers besides optimus and megatron have a combined total of 4 minutes of screentime" that and "they turned Arcee into a hivemind three motorbikes" the other.
-
And "The twins are the most abhorring abomination to grace the silver screen. Ever."
Which is one of the reasons why I talked my mom into taking us to go see Up later instead.
Which we still haven't done >_>

This is false, but also sadly true.
They did say they would get more screentime and they did, except most of the time, we saw only foots, arms, faces, and little tiny far away bodies off in a distance of the TFs. that's what refered too as more time. So in the end we got little of full size action.
And I wanted more Arcee involvement. She had one line, ONE LINE.
And she/they is/are destroyed right after it!
Best review ever?
-
I think its a bit to critical, I personally loved it and believe it is this summer's movie.
-
Seriously, Im not ever going to watch this. The first one was one of the worst films ive ever had shoved into my eye-ginas.
-
The first film wasn't bad if you were looking for a pyrotechnics show. I'd assume the same about this next one.
-
Damn theres alot of negative people here, lol. I just take it for what its worth.
-

Exactly what I'm saying. You take it for what it's worth. You take it for a plotless pyrotechnics show with a ****-ton of CGI.
-
But isn't that what Transformers is all about? Plotless pyrotechnics show with a ****-ton of CGI? That's what the first movie was about, and that's what the second movie is about.
Thing is, people complained about the first movie having too much human characters, less robot action. This time around, we finally get more robot screentime, and it still isn't enough. Michael Bay is better off making a slideshow displaying all robots, at least that would shut those people up.
Seriously, make up your minds and know when to take a movie for what it is, for what it's trying to reach. We all want too much intellectual **** that we keep forgetting that movies are all about fun, about entertainment. I don't need story to enjoy myself, in fact, **** story for most movies.
When I went to Ice Age 3, I didn't go there to watch the story unfold. I went there for all the CG action. And, I was pleased. Sure, I also went there for the jokes and ****, but that's not the point. I went to the movie to have fun. I don't need to be intellectually tingled, if I wanted to I would have read a book, or watched the Godfather trilogy or something.
People should do that more often.

Nicely put.
