Title: request help from spriters and artists.
Post by: karlc on July 22, 2009, 02:16:52 AM
im editing pictures and i need help.. lol
ok so this picture it doesnt work for rpg maker its just all black.
im guessing it has something to do with it being a 24 bit picture. and not 8 or something.
ok so i try to edit it with idraw but it doesnt open. and so i just open it with paint and copy it in
to idraw. problem is tho, the transparent color thing is being used like in the actual color of the picture
so when i open it in rpg maker, the pic is all skrewd up and has transparent parts.
soo what do i do???
thanks.

Color the transparent parts a different color?
Or make the transparency a color that is never going to be used, like say, fluorescent pink?

I bet the file is a BMP and not a PNG.
That's usually the problem.

1) Save file as .png
2) Open RM2K3 or whichever you use
3) In the options above, go to Tool and then to Resource Management (or Ctrl+I in RM2K3)
4) Go to the category you want the picture to be in
5) Click import and select the file
6) Select a background colour (the background, obviously.

Try that out, might work.
