Title: KOS-MOS
Post by: Alantor on August 29, 2009, 12:48:33 AM
I been wondering... How come no one made addinational KOS-MOS Battle characters or battle animation from Totw3? I'm not asking for a request, but it would sure be nice if someone can make these things.

If your not asking for it then most likely no one will make it.

Just a follow-up question.
What exactly prevetns you from doing it?
Not to be all rude and stuff.

But it's really easy and everyone can do it. Just find the sprites, open paint, copy paste the sprites you want. Reduce the colour depth with paint, irfanview or any other image editing programs and save it.
It's done.
Then you can upload it here as well if you want.

I'm pretty sure there is a tutorial out here somewhere.

Anyway. Basic idea is this:
You find sprites you want.
You get yourself a template.
You open the template and the sprite sheet.
(You might have to copy the template to a clean board if there is a limit restriction, this might make your sprites look bad y'know?)
Copy the sprites into the template and line them up from left to right.
Make sure they are almost positioned at the same place(in each of the template's box-thingies(sections))
Rinse and repeat until the entire thing is done.
Save it.
Copy the file into Irfanview or any other editing program and choose to reduce the colour depth to 256c.
(this can be done in paint when you choose to save as a 256c BMP as well but the quality is lacking)
Import into your game.
Enter the "Animations" tab and create a battle set with your newly imported resources.

You can find them in the complete resources.

(sorry, managed to click Edit instead of "reply")
