...and I am so pissed off over losing my progress on Control Case's movement system that I feel I must make a topic about it. Discuss your computer failures now so that I may feel better.
-
My computer ended up randomly powering down during an update, and I had to get the hard drive wiped, due to the ownage it had upon it.
It sucked.
-
My computer never crashes. Sorry, you are alone.
I hate you so much right now...
...but I could never stay mad at you, Lucy. :3
-
My display drivers seem to die at random and then "recover" so that everything is slightly blurry, as though some of the pixels have been smeared downwards.
I have no idea what its deal is.
-
The other day, my mom's spare computer's Internet Explorer wouldn't work, no matter how many times she tried reinstalling and updating it (this is in Windows XP, by the way). So for the time being, she had me install Firefox on it.
Which is hilarious considering she has argued with me in the past multiple times about how much Firefox sucks because "nobody uses it" and "it isn't mainstream", and "no websites load properly in it" (she has never used Firefox, by the way), etc.
-
I had a problem like that too FFL, both with IE and Firefox. My Firefox went whack like that when I first got my Vista, and I didnt know how to fix it. IE started screwing up earlier this year, and it turned out to be due to an update for my system. I had to do a system restore to undo the update, and had to switch it so my computer wouldn't update without permission. Firefox is still dead to me, though. :(

Well, when I do things I'm really not supposed to be doing, sometimes, **** doesn't work right.
Otherwise, I'm pretty much fine.
-
I've received the infamous blue screen many times for the past 2-3 weeks. But now I think it's working fine.
-
My sister deleted the files that let my computer recognize the sound card.
-
Man you guys have it rough.

I was waiting for your post and this is all I get? I am disappointed, Apex.
-
I use Vista. Works fine for me.
Then again, I have only had internet for not even 6 months.

Looks like the time my friend slammed a mouse (hard) inside his laptop, or when my sister accidentally leaned a textbook on hers for a day...
When on battery power, my laptop likes to make the screen go completely one color. The best to fix it is to put it into sleep mode and then wake it up again. More often though, it needs to be restarted.

My computer has a battery life of 1 hour.
It's on constant life support.
Other than that, and the fact that it has the shittiest power supply known to man (and that it has the shame of being a Compaq), it works fine.
-
My iMac has crashed at some pretty FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF moments.
(Granted, it only crashes like once a year.)
But don't even get my started on my old Dell.

But Macs never crash, don't you ever listen to the ramblings?

Pff. Lies. Every computer crashes. Love my mac to death, but it's certainly not immune to crashing.

Quickly leavs before trasforming into a Mac vs Windows troll again.
But seriously it warms my heart to find a Mac user that doesn't think thier computer shat gold bricks. I applaud you Uber. And I agree no computer is perfect in the least, its an imperfect machine made by an imperfect being, shits gonna happen.
-
Everyone knows windows are better than Macs. Because I can't see who's coming near my house when watching through my Mac.
The same Mac I don't even own, yeah.
-
Apparently, I'm a hacker.
(See sig.)

Don't you remember adequacy.org (http://www.adequacy.org/stories/2001.12.2.42056.2147.html) Ed?

My comp is a mess. Google Talk freezes constantly. Just browsing with Firefox results in freezing, crashes, and sudden slowness. If I leave Firefox up overnight, there's hell to pay. I have three anti-spyware programs, and none of them can get rid of my Vundo trojan. Photoshop takes about 12 minutes to start up.
-
Damn, my computer would end up smashed somewhere in my room after few days if it was that slow.
And of course, I would end up doing nothing but cursing my impatience.
-
I got a virus because my little sister (in one night) managed to download limewire, and download 500 songs from Jonas Bros and Hannah montana. The virus works by opening up several billion windows from the internet, which fries the drives of old computers. I got a new hard drive earlier this year BTW.

Shoot her, its the only way. While your at it shoot all of thier other fans which consist of mostly 5 year olds.

Vundo trojan
Come, we have much to discuss.
-
Trojans can only be delt with by hardened computer gurus.
