Well, im kinda new to RPGmaker, and therefore, im not really an expert at it :flower:
So, to the preoblem! I found your site (today actually) and i noticed it is a great site. Then i downloaded some FF7 char-things, like some facesets, some battlecharsets, and so on. Then, wehn i tried to play with the charas, they didnt work.
It was just a black, empety window in the faceset etc. I have no idea why evrything i downloaded turned back, and therefore, im asking you pros here on the forum, what have i done wrong?
/wating for an answer :D

This is most likely a problem with the internet browser.
Which are you using? Internet Explorer?
-
Yes, i am using internet explorer, is that a problem that makes the charas dosent work? :jumpin:
Edit: Or, well, dumb question, anyway. What should i do to make them work?! What can i do to this "internet explorer" problem?! And what is it that makes the internet explorer to not work propebly?
/Answer appriciateed :D
-
I rarely have problems, but apparently everybody else does.
Is that Charlie the Tuna you have as an avatar?
Edit: How do you save them? Save picture as?
Edit 2: Use edit key instead of posting multiple times, it's faster and easier.
-
Hehe, well, i actually dont know, however, he looks cool ;)
Lolz, gotta upload an own avatar, well, anyway, do you know what i should do to make the charas work? :frag:
Edit: Well, i saved them in paint, wich makes them to a bmp file?!
-
Ahem, use edit key instead of multi-posting... (this makes it easier than double posting)
In Paint!? You probly are saving them as 24-bit, which isn't supported by RM2K/RM2K3. 256 color only
-
Sry, dumb answer (man im dumb today), it is a bmp file
Ok, then, if i shouldnt save them in bmp, then what format should i save them in, i mean, it dosent show up any other format (J)
-
BMP is allright as long as it's 256 and fits the right size...
Oh and don't post it here, there are rules against submitting BMPs
Edit: Ugh... you double posted again.
-
Ok, well, then i guees i wont be posting here anymore, better follow thr ules ;)
Thanks for the help :D
-
I have prettied up your posts, now nobody will have problems reading.
Try right clicking the resources in complete resources and use "Save picture/image as" maybe that'll help
-
Ok, thanks, i will try that now
(Sorry i spelled so badly on some posts)
-
Ok well, tell me if it helps...
-
Ok, now for another (most likley, the last on some time) problem.
Well, thx darkfox, you helped me to get the most of the charsets to work, and im greatful for that :D
However, now to the problem. Well, i downloaded a "sephiroth battle char set", and putted it inot the "battlecharset" folder. However, when im trying to pick it in the "battle sprite", it dosent show up, so, how do i get the battlecharset to work in the game? :D
-
You are using Rpg Maker 2003 right? Well did you try making a new character in Battle2 of the database?
-
No, well, i got kinda confused. You see, to a beggining, i put the charas with a blur background in battle2, and the one with some kind of ""green background in battlecharset, and then it didnt went as excpected.
However, then i just put all of them in the battlecharset, and, of course, that didnt work too, so know, i guess i have to put all of them in battle2? :p
-
not battle2 folder, battlecharset folder is the correct one. it's battle animations 2 within RPG Maker 2003, when you are in the RPG Maker program.
-
Well, ok, thats wierd, cause i cannot see any Sephiroth in the animations2, and i did put all the 3 charsets in battlecharset folder.
Now somethings else is wrong :D
-
Forgett it, i manage to get it to work, thx for all help i have got Darkfox :smoke:
-
LOL, you never figured out how to use the Edit button.
Well, no problem... glad problem is solved.
