Title: Question about making a quest.
Post by: RetroCoNoR on October 05, 2009, 04:37:59 PM
Hey :)

Need some help if thats okay?

1) ive just started to use RPG Maker 2003, and have created a scenario where the town has become overun with goblins etc.
Now i have made it so when i speak to a certain person they tell me to go kill all the creatures around and then to return.
What i had done was made the event, made the message, then made a switch to him telling me "i have cleared all monsters"
and gives me my reward, the problem is that i don't have to clear all monsters and if i speak to him twice he will give me the reward
on the second time i speak to him.

So how would i go about this? Like him giving me a quest, he repeats self till i kill all monsters, then once thats done he rewards me etc.

Sorry if this makes no sense, ill try explain better if you dont understand.

Thank you :)

Then make a switch with a precondition like if you have the reward just make a switch for him to take no action then he won't constantly give you it evrytime you talk to him and you could make him say something like good work but I already gave you your reward or whatever .
