I got it when I clicked the charas-project link up in that link tree thing above the post earlier today. =P

A script on the main page has been visited too many times. :/

Subs.php, do members even use the subscribe feature?

I wont ask, I just got it trying to go to the index.

Eeyup.

We don't need a forum nuke, do we?

Fuck, this is annoying.
Did you set your title to that, or is that an extended part of the glitch?

That's my title now. UNTIL THIS MESS IS FIXED.

That Fatal Error part sounds a bit serious...

Yeah what the hell is this shit.

A bit worrying, really.

If you edit your profile, and the save the changes it does the same thing, although it does seem to save the changes.

I was just about to make a topic about this. I'm only here because I never closed the page when I made the FFCC post waaaaay earlier.

Is Alex the only one who can fix this?
Title: Re: Um...
Post by: fruckert on December 27, 2009, 02:52:33 AM
I'm guessing so, because it sounds like a server/programming issue.
I hope it gets fixed soon though.

SORRY IF THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT POST BUT I KEEP GETTING THIS GODDAMN ERROR WHEN I TRY TO GO TO THE FORUMS.

Another forum I'm on went over its bandwidth and needed to nuked.

But then again, their unmoderated section was completely full, not to mention the shload of 2mb files directly uploaded to posts.

Either him, or Osmose, since he seems to be pretty responsible for the techy stuff around here, such as the new layout of the site.

I can fix this. I simply choose not to.
Title: Re: Um...
Post by: Darkfox on December 27, 2009, 11:00:41 PM
It seems like this has happened before. Apparently a post count or amount of topics reaches a certain number or some crap and the main page breaks.
Title: Re: Um...
Post by: SaiKar on December 28, 2009, 12:13:53 AM
Oh huh. I had no idea the forums were actually working. I assumed that main page glitch was the death of us all.

So... um, yeah. What the crap?
Title: Re: Um...
Post by: Zerlina on December 28, 2009, 02:04:58 AM
I guess it's time to turn this one thread into the entire forum.

Quick, post your top 5 movies, plans for a game that will never be finished, and then register a new account so you can make your first post asking for 10 new facesets and an Inuyasha battle sprite.

I was only able to get here from the "Last 10 forum discussions" from the main page.

I got to some topics by using the search function... works pretty well...

I just bookmarked All of All
Title: Re: Um...
Post by: fruckert on December 28, 2009, 06:04:05 AM
I go to my messages from the front page, and navigate by an unweildy combination of my last posts, and unread topics.
Title: Re: Um...
Post by: X_marks_the_ed on December 28, 2009, 02:42:20 PM
I think that it will be gone in 4 days even without anyone to fix it.

I'm sure it's this.

EDIT: Note for those interested - uploading an avatar is also being a bit iffy. I was finally able to get my fsjal back up. The error comes up, but it still worked.

Would cleaning out a bunch of the Junkbin work?
It does sound like either a memory issue, or a space issue.

Yup, something similar.  It'll save the avatar AFTER getting the error message.

Maybe actually. It only seems to happen when a topic count reaches a certain number.

That totally didn't work.

So deleting is allocating too much memory to erase?
wtf
Title: Re: Um...
Post by: Bluhman on December 29, 2009, 07:06:32 PM
Nah, I, as suggested, deleted the entirety of the junk bin... Which might of been good. However, that most certainly didn't fix the problem.

On the other hand, PMing Osmose was probably a very good idea.

There must be some way to fix this error permanently. Right? O_o I don't even know why it popped back up.

Alex said that he didn't see any change with the loop that he tweaked, so he turned it back.

So... SOL, huh?
Title: Re: Um...
Post by: fruckert on December 30, 2009, 06:07:12 AM
Seeing as the loop that he saw, when changed, appeared to have a delayed reaction, maybe changing it back and leaving it alone might help.
Maybe wait a day or two and see if the bork remains.

If they weren't showing Mary Poppins on TV RIGHT now, I'd go crazy... Why is it dead again!?
Title: Re: Um...
Post by: SaiKar on December 30, 2009, 07:40:25 PM
The better question seems to be "why did it stop being dead in the first place?" Alex and Moose ultimately did nothing but the problem magically fixed itself. I'm not too shocked to see that this non-solution only lasted a few hours. Nothin' I can do about it. I guess they'll hunker down and fix it and tell us when they do.
