Title: It snowed in Dallas. FML.
Post by: Valiere on February 13, 2010, 05:56:53 AM
So Dallas decided to have an epic "once in a hundred years" snowfall. 11 inches. 11 DAMN INCHES. That's mind-blowing in Texas.

Of course it did this when I'm not there. I'm at school in Austin, which offers only rain and homeless perverts as a consolation.

Every time I look at pictures like these, I die a little.

Or like this. That is a huge freaking snowball. I'm never going to see a snowball that big. Ever.

*sobs*

Holy ****. As a fellow Texan, I understand this quite well. God, I hate not having snow. Our best hasn't even added up to one inch. One inch.

Still, snow in Houston is pretty crazy, so I suppose I shouldn't be looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Well, if it is any consolation, we didn't get really anything special, and it melted soon afterwards.

It always snows up here too. But right now, it is more dirt and stuff everywhere because of the retarded plows.

Anyway, for your case, darn that global warming.

I personally don't like snow. Sure, snow covered landscape is a beautiful vision. But that's all. I hate snow.
Here it snows on every winter, yes. But it begins to snow less than many years before, sometime until a certain date where a Blizzard strike and you being to play WoW.
All in all it's just another brick in the wall.

Getting it once a year in one big storm would be nice. Getting it for 6 months at a time with periods of freezing cold, rain and ice... not so much.

Yes, indeed.  And in the past few years, I don't think I've gotten one.  Goddamn.  Snow day.

Rethinking this, I love the snow. And I do not mind the cold. Just as long as you dress properly. A good military jacket with liner would suffice.

The only thing I hate is the ice.

Haha last year where I live we got a lovely ice storm and lost power for 2 weeks. It snowed Monday night and it's supposed to snow again tomorrow night. It's cold.

I kinda like snow though, it all gets pretty silent everywhere. People don't go out as much, no friggin bird songs, less people with dogs and all that.
It's all a great tranquillity of white, wind and cold.
Also, it makes us Swedes appreciate summer a lot more since our summers barely comes with any sun or heat. but thinking about winter makes us realize that it is in fact summer.

There was a an accident that involved 30 hauling trucks and 20 cars up on the interstate (Main highway with most people going 70+ on it) 10 miles away from me this week.  Snow = Evil

Complete opposite over here. Constant sun and heat, even in winter. Our cold days are God-sends.

Goddamn you right. Over crossmas I went to the movies with a friend on an EPIC SNOW day and the theatre had about 6 people in it. Best cinema experience ever.
