anyone know how to make one?
Thanks in advance! :D
-
Erm you can do it with events and pictures, but if you mean an actual movie, you can make one with an outside program and then import it into the program. It has to be an avi or mpg file I believe.
-
oh what video maker do you recommend?
-
You can pretty much use anything, like Windows Movie maker, Vegas, After effects or what all those programs are called. i bet even Flash can make 'em.
-
Yeah, Flash is my weapon of choice. You can make really professional movies with it. Afterwards, export it as an
AVI. AVIs tend to take up about 100MB sometimes, so it's good to use a compression program to reduce it to around
4MB or less!
If you wanna make in-game cutscenes, that's a different story!

Oh whats the difference between making an in game cut scene and opening movie?

My boy let's grab you an example.
Final fantasy VII.
Cloud talks to Tifa and large machines appear and try to kill them - cutscene.
Cloud gets on a motorcycle and drives through the door - cinematic/aka movie.
The cutscenes are "Events" of the game where actions happen and things are said. You can easily create something like this with the "Move event" command.
With this you can make a messenger run up to the hero and hand him a letter from the king. Instead of recordning it as AVI or WMM or whatever these types are called.

Oh that helps. That's what I did in one of my levels. but for making it look like a "movie" what program do you recommend?(free ones xD) I've used windows live movie maker to make a trailer but yeah that's all I see what it's for...
