Basically, a bundle of 5 quality indie games, and you set the price you wanna pay. Can be as low as a cent (pay at least a dollar guys, they actually LOSE money from the processing if you pay under that). You can also choose to put some of the money to a couple gaming related charities. It's a pretty excellent deal, worth it just for Penumbra.
-
Huh, those games look real pretty. =D
-
Dude thanks; I loved world of Goo and Aquaria, it's nice to see these and three other for a humble cause.
-
Is this genuine? It looks great!
-
Totally legit, and no assy client to download things through either
-
Now even more of my time will be sucked away from me.
=D
-
I learned my lesson with other indie games that caused me much pain to play, but it helps charity and the last two look ok.
-
They're all great except Gish, in my opinion. Penumbra is amazing. Most atmospheric game I've ever played.
-
I'm pretty sickened at the number of people across the internet (mainly Mr Cho's, obviously) who are pirating this. Sure feels great killing the gaming industry and stealing from sick children, doesn't it?
Anyone who calls themselves a PC gamer should buy this. Nay, must.
-
One of my friends said he's gonna torrent it. How unbelievably selfish and sickening is that?
I'm probably gonna pay about £18, since I'm really poor. Still, the average person has given about £3.50. So
it's generous in comparison!
-
I think that's just what the average is dwindled down to when a 100,000 or so people pay a penny for it.
-
What's shitty is they lose money due to all the processing when people pay under like, a dollar
-
So it's better for them for me to get it off a torrent than pay a cent. So anticlimatic
-
Are you really that cheap?
-

This is where standard deviations come in handy. Ahhhh... standard deviations.
-
Are you really that cheap?
Generally yeah, but I am not doing it that for this particular bundle.

I dub thee Sir Stats
-
Stats made me get a D in my Biology exam! Not statistics. Biology. :'(
-
I feel your pain. I almost failed stats and it made my GPA plummet.
-
the only good game in this bundle is Penumbra. And I already own all the Penumbras. This is nothing to be extatic over.
Especially when there are other less exposed indy game developers giving away bundles of superior games for free.
-
I dunno, man. World of Goo is pretty damn awesome.
-
Aquaria is also pretty damn good.
-
Indeed. Agreed with both arquem and hobo
-
Ok, yeah, Aquaria is pretty good. Not exactly my favorite of the bunch, but pretty fun.
-
Right. I'm gonna do it! I'm so anal about things being legit or not. It's definitely legit?
Anyone else bought the package?
-
My bad. I missed World of goo. But then again I have that on my wii.
Ive already paid 2 of the game developers about 60 bucks
And even though these ARE independently developed, they are all commercial releases. Sure, they may be good, but these games hosed me in the past (I actually pay for titles) and since Im living in the golden age of consumer options, Im going to say that a monotone rhyme scheme by a lame voice over actor, set to a kitschy video montage of a few games, I just want to pirate this stuff in spite.
But then again, Im cranky, old, and an ***hole

Yes, it's legit. Stop being so anal, you ass.
-
Oh my God! Penumbra is so damn frightening/great. Just shows what independant developers are capable of.
All I have to defend myself with in a frigging hammer!

Dear Humble Bundle supporter,
I have a small announcement you might be interested in. This morning, I was talking to fellow indie studio Amanita Design. They wanted to donate to the Humble Indie Bundle too -- but in a unique way. They decided to donate their award-winning, cross-platform game, Samorost 2, to the bundle! It is really a great game, and I encourage you to go download it on your updated Humble Bundle key page.
