Hello guys, It has been a while :P I am now in the process of programming a game on BYOND. It is going to be a futuristic type game. Think of a mix between Uncharted Waters, and Star Wars lol.... Anyway I need someone good at making sprites to help me finish the sprite I started. (Sprite cannot exceed 32x32) I need the walking animation. I drew out the standing sprite myself and I am no good at making moving sprites lol. Anyway here is what I got. I will appreciate any help given and add your name in the credits. Just don't forget to tell me your name so I can give credit where it is due.

I need where he walks sticking out one leg, then the other. I am using a 4 frame animation not a 3 frame.

Come on guys, I really need help. :p I've made several attempts at the walking animation myself but to put it plain and simple.... I suck at animations, even the simple ones. Also if anyone wants to be a part of my game... I am currently the only staff member working on it. I am making it on BYOND because I like the multiplayer capabilities. I call the game Celestial Pirates: Uncharted Galaxies, you won't find it on the BYOND site atm because it is in the beginning stages of production. There are going to be multiple races, each with transformations or powerboosts (Idea from DB), and different classes... each class will have their own special skills. you will start on a homeplanet which is decided by your race. You will be able to level, train in the gyms, travel from shop to shop trading goods, mine, fish, chop wood, even craft items to sell to a shop. The player will then train his character and do various jobs and quests that will be found throught the game. After the player completes a quest to get his/her "Space Pilot License" and obtains enough money to buy a spaceship they will be able to explore the 'Uncharted Galaxies' and find planets, intergalactic quests, trade from planet to planet(idea kind of derived from Uncharted Waters), PLUS you will be able to fight other players...not just regular combat but the players will be able to fight other players with their spaceships, you'll be able to upgrade your spaceship too. I am also contemplating programming a MECH system too. I am also open to any suggestions or ideas :p

I know how long it has been. Don't take it that I am begging or being impatient. I was just stating that I have zero skills at animation, lol. Hell I got plenty of time because I am working on the coding of the game. I got temp charas-generator sprites as place holders atm. The sprites arn't the biggest concern right now. Anyway what do you all think of my game idea?

Wow charas must be dead atm.... When I made my Pirate game on RPG 2k3 a few years back everyone was ever-so helpful with helping me make character sprites, pirate ships, music and everything. And It didn't take but a few hours to get a helpful reply. I do miss the good ol days. That was when times were care-free though. Didn't have to worry about a thing, now I gotta worry about bills and everything lol. Anyway really don't take it that I am whining or being impatient because I am not, I am just remembering better days, of charas and my life lol.... So even if you can't help out on the sprite tell me what you think of my game, ask questions about it if you want, and most importantly give suggestions if you have any I am open to all ideas :p

Well, we are having server issues now, and some members don't even know that Charas is back already. And it could disappear anytime.
We also have half the amount of active members we had back then. X)
And the ones that are active aren't so helpful as they were. Life gets in the way. And we got lazy.
Lol I heard that about life getting in the way and getting lazy >_> I didn't know about the server problems though.

Charas has been out a lot in the last few months due to server stuff, hacking, etc. Don't expect replies for two days for more in some cases.
I can try to do the sprite your asking for, but I can't tell you how long it will take me. (I have my college orientation this week)

I'd really appreciate it if you do. I have time to wait for it as I do have a temp sprite atm and I am working on the programming of the game. I think it is BS that people try to hack sites...what could anyone gain from hacking a game resource site? Eliminating competition? If so for what?! There isn't even any money(cept maybe donations) in it :/ On another note what are you going for in college?

Double major with Music Education as an Oboe Major and Music Theory and Composition. Haven't figured out what I'm minoring in yet.

So can you compose music? I wanted to go college for computer science... I went to the vocational for IT Tech and IT Networking.... Wish I went for programming lol... but I am learning the stuff on my own, looking up guides and tutorials and references on the different computer languages.

Yeah. Haha, hence my (hopeful) double major. Once I finish the required theory courses, I can audition to be a music theory and composition major.

The Aquans come from the planet Aquas V a planet that is covered completely with water except for the ice-caps, anyway I wanted to post the updated image.

Just checking to see how things are going AFL, also shortened the sprites a little bit because they were out of proportion for the chipsets and stuff.

It is better than what I attempted lol, On the second one down the back leg could possibly go back a couple pixels farther and the hand in front to peek out a little more but looks good to me :D Keep up the good work man
PS: When it is finished do you want to be in the credits as Forgotten Legend or as your name? What is your name btw?

My name's Joseph. If you want, you can either use A Forgotten Legend , Bando, Bando|Afl, or JosephB. Doesn't matter. Haha. I'll get to finishing it up asap, we having opening night for a musical I'm in tomorrow. I'll try to fix the second one down for you.
