Title: I Don't Get This At All

Could somebody please tell me how the size of the rpg maker xp chars works.  I want to use rpg maker xp, but not being able to make my own custom characters has made it unbearable Please someone help.

As long as each cell is the same size it doesn't matter.  So, as long as the cells are all the same size... your fine...

If you go to section 6.0 it will show you what is needed to change a charset from rm2k3 to xp.  That's the closest I can come to answering your question really...

Thanks for trying to help. But I guess what I'm asking is, if I increase the image by one pixal vertical and horizontal, does that increase the cell wall by one pixal each way?

You would need to do it by 4, since there are four cells across and down.  That would give each one more.
