Each charaset needs 8 characters if I remember, 4 right next to eachother and four below. For more info on this, see "Image specifications" in the Help, or look at some charsets in the resources.

Hey sorry i'm such a noob but i have another question what should i include in my games tutorial and is the tutorial a good time to dump character histories (past or story) on the player and maybe explain their tie to side characters and villian?

If the tutorial is a part of the game - it's up to you.
If you have a part of the game where certain characters tell the hero about their pasts - it might not be necessary. Most people like to tell people about the characters and something of their connection to the story in the game thread. You start a thread where you post information about your game and screenshots. That way interested people can read up on that kind of stuff before they play the game.
And well, most people skip the tutorial unless you have something special in your game. Most people who know about RPGM knows how to control the character and how to fight an ATB battle.
But if you have something like a running system, fatigure system, CBS, CMS, synthesis shop, AP to learn skills or anything like that - it might be a good time to bring it up.

Hello. In your picture editing software you have to set the picture width and height to 288 x 256. This will make your picture the Valid Image Size. Also save as BMP. You will most likely get a warning but keep on going. Finally import your stuff and select yuor transparency. Hope this helped. ^>^
