Title: Where I can report stolen stuff?
Post by: -MRP- on July 17, 2010, 11:31:20 PM
Hello there, I'm a long-time RPGMaker user and I left the community long ago. Well, I actually was never a part of Charas-Project but my work have been ALWAYS stolen by members here. Sharing is good? YES, share as all you like, but I'm tired to have the credits stolen, like Soul Thief (http://charas-project.net/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=15629) did to my Samus and various other characters (http://charas-project.net/resources_download.php?id=21798&file=resources%2FCharasets%2F15629_1118447140.png). Somebody else (http://charas-project.net/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=10083) also stole my Zero (http://charas-project.net/resources_download.php?id=14661&file=resources%2FCharasets%2F10083_1094876849.PNG), this Seymour's hair (http://charas-project.net/resources_download.php?id=24352&file=resources%2FCharasets%2F12650_1129752593.png) looks  recolor with minor edits from my Seymour (http://ultimeciaffb.deviantart.com/art/Sprite-Sheet-FFX-Set-1-41191261) (according to the author the hair is at the Charas-Project generator, I'd like to remove it, I never gave my permission to use this. If you guys had ASKED the story should have been different).
Thank you for your time

People can upload whatever they want, the complete resources as well as the generator.
I doubt our moderators have time to check every updated set or sprite and match it with earlier contributions.

That's why we have a section about resources in the generator and the CR.

lol

Its not like this stuff is terribly original or anything. As far as intellectual properties go, youve stolen somebody elses characters, and repixelled them. Id get off your high horse. Just my humble opinion

Oh wow.  I just wrote this HUGE rant (I was slightly proud of), and then I realized the post above was from Gem, and not this MRP guy.  Ugh.  I need to go to sleep.  (its 9:05... I was at a cast party for a musical all night.)

this Seymour's hair looks recolor with minor edits from my Seymour

I don't think that one is stolen. Lots of people make Final Fantasy characters, so when two people draw the same thing, they're bound to look similar. The two hairs look different but I doubt it's because someone took your hair and edited it.

I know this is dead, but I have to point it out just cause it is blatantly obvious.
They argue over it being stolen, but then when you all mention what you did, and then go on about somethings can be looking the same, they never post again. I think they just wanted stuff taken down, and were trolling the forums just to get some crap stirred up. Sorry. I'll not necro again XD

It was there only post. I doubt they were trolling. Regardless, kicking this topic was really unnecessary.
