Title: A request...for science!
Post by: Linkforce on August 24, 2010, 07:02:26 PM
Hey all, I'm trying to make the intro of my game less talky and more...actiony.  Actiony in the sense of seeing people do stuff and move around, etc etc.  So, I was wondering if somebody would be willing to make some poses for me from the charsets below.  I just need some rudimentary poses such as someone typing on a computer, sitting down and typing on a computer, pushing buttons, walking around with a clipboard, pressing buttons on a random item in their hand, talking, looking around, bending over to fix a computer, things like that!  Actually...exactly that!  If anyone wishes to take on this challenge, I would really appreciate it a lot and your efforts would not be wasted.  Thank you to anyone who can help me!  ^_^'

P.S.- The two charsets on the bottom right, with the helmets, are excluded from this request.

Of course, he's talking about me.

I don't actually think I have any edits of those characters, but I'll browse through my charset files to see what I've got.

Btw, I keep pronouncing 'Science' like Sean Connery would 'Shience', is that weird?

Woo thanks Fish!  :)

Haha and Shady I can hear Sean Connery saying that. I'll take whatever you can provide. :P

Doing anything like Connery is immediately awesome.

And despite my love/hate relationship with Carp Diem, I do like doing pose edits, so if Fish or Shady can't come through, gimme a holler.

Hey Fish let me know if you're too busy to take on this request in case anyone else wants to do it like Shady or Sai

Ah actualy I think I'll have to pull back. Lonewolf's request is going to take a alot of editing and I want to try and I'm writing a dificult cutscene that needs alot of attention right now. Sorry. ^^; But hey at least you got Sai or Shady.

Alright here are the chairs, computers, and another computer-type-platform thing that you can use.  And I made a small, bland clipboard in like 5 seconds, feel free to edit it lol

Hey Sai, it's been like 2 weeks, have you made any progress on this yet?  If you're too busy maybe Shady can take a crack at it?  Or Fish if you're free now.

You've been working on the game for years. What's two weeks? What's two months? You rushing to get the final version done or something?

But eh, sure, have someone else take a crack at it. Made some sprites this weekend, didn't really like how they were coming out, so no love lost if you want to go with someone else.

I guess I can see where you took my post in a different tone then I intended.  I was just asking if you had started the request or not, it was just a check-up not so much a "dude its been two weeks what's taking so long!?"

You can show my the sprites you started if you'd like, maybe they're not as bad as you think.

I uh, suppose I could take a stab at a few of the poses. I've been on school-related hiatus for a while now, but I've recently started spriting again and I could give it a go. I assume the upper left objects are the chairs and the lower left the computer terminals?

lonewolf: if you want to try it that would be great :)

Reninzo: the chairs are the two bottom left things and the computers are at the top left and they are facing eachother. If you can make some poses too that would be awesome!

I can help with some things as well.
Just specify what you need, i.e. these characters for these poses, etc.
I know others are helping you, so I thought I can wrap up what else is needed.
