Title: Windowed Mode
Post by: HawaiianBLOOM on November 02, 2010, 10:08:18 PM
In RM2k3, is there a way to have the game run in a window instead of full screen like in test play AFTER the game was turned into a disk? Or no? Because, in fullscreen, the game flashes when I move or something else does, but not in window mode.

Happens to me too. Really annoying. But no, I don't know of any way to avoid fullscreen after making a gamedisk.

You'd probably have to delete the data on the disk, make it windowed, then re-download it to the disk.

I wouldn't count on it. Rm2k3's so old now that if something hasn't been fixed already, you're just gonna have to live with it.  It's worth noting that copies of rm2k3 from different sites often seemed to be slightly different, but this'll probably be the same on all.

There's a chance that your display is to blame.
I couldn't run in fullscreen until I changed some options. And then it didn't work as it should if it weren't played as test play.
Now with a new display everything runs as it should.

You could also consider not making a game disk. Zip the files up and make a shortcut file. That generally looks decent. And with a shortcut to the .exe file, it's easy to figure out how to get it working.
