So I know a good amount of you guys are in college doing collegey things. Where are you going to college? What are you majoring in? What do you plan to do afterwards?
For me, I'm at a community college without a clue what I want to major in. Next year I want to go to UMASS, Amherst. My college life is rather uninteresting considering I have no legitimate major and go to a community college.
-
Good luck man. What happens if you fail?
-
University of Texas - Austin, major English, dunno what I'm going to do after I graduate, but ideally something in publishing/editing.

DUDE.
YOU'RE NOT AT MWCC, ARE YOU?!
that having been said, UMass Amherst is legit my top choice transfer school right now.
This is seriously weirding me out.
-
Haha, stop doing that. =p
But no, not at MWCC. What college is that even? I'm going to Holyoke Community, North of Springfield. Been in Holyoke for like... 6 years? or so. UMass amherst is ridiculously awesome. Got a friend going there, he showed me around and I fell in love.

With your friend??
-
Bahaha.
I'm a freshman at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in Music Education with a concentration in Oboe. =P

Haha way to pick an unstable, difficult and overly competitive career, loser.
Also I'm at Ryerson and I'm an actor.

HA. I see what you did there.
And val: no... atleast... we haven't talked about it yet..
-
Oh thank Jebus.
If you were at my school I think I'd have just died of weird, man.
Mount Wachusett Community college is MWCC. I got into a few private schools, but then I got wicked sick, so this is sort of like practice college, I guess.
If I go to UMASS, I wanna major in marketing management, with a minor in Japanese, because fff yeah international business.
-
legit
Cringe.
-
University, becoming a teacher. Gonna teach kids about lots of good stuff.
-
Louisiana Tech University, going for my Bachelor's in Music Education with a concentration in Saxophone.
I'm still debating about getting my masters. If I do, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go to the University of North Texas. They have some beastly instrumentalists.
Also, UMASS Amherst!!! OMG I wish I lived up north. Would have loved to have been in George Parks' band, may he rest in peace :(
-
Cringe.
I don't know where it came from T____T
I think I started it to piss off my brother, and it just stuck, and sneaks in where I don't want it.
Could be worse. I could've said "literally."

University of Rochester: Bachelor of Arts in Comp Sci.
I tried UCSB. Applying for classes was damn hell. So bad, I barely even got into the computer science course at that school.
-
See, here, Sophomores schedule last, so that's the only year you really get screwed over and can't take the classes you need.
-
PROTIP: make friends with the secretary at your program's main office as early as possible, preferably in freshman year. Stop in every now and then to chat and talk about random nonsense. Offer her candy maybe. I'm dead serious. A single useful secretary will do more to get you a good schedule than all the planning and phone calls to professors begging to get into full classes will ever do. I had a woman who worked miracles for me. It's the only reason I graduated on time.
-
You can shut your face.
-
Clarkson University, for Mechanical Engineering.
University of Rochester: Bachelor of Arts in Comp Sci.
And how is old Rahchestah treating you?
-
It's kinda weird how we were all the same age as the majority of the community when we joined, regardless of when we joined. So Charas was originally full of high-schoolers, and now it's full of university students. When you think about it, it's like we grew up together without ever meeting each other.
-
Huh. Weird how that worked.
-
Currently a Senior at Florida Institute of Technology getting a B.S. in Computer Science. As may or may not be obvious, I do web development (although I know how to make the normal kind of program as well :P).
As for after college, I'm currently trying to find a company to work full-time for. Having interned at Electronic Arts twice, my recruiter within the company is trying to find a team with an open spot for when I graduate. I also have an on-site interview with Mozilla in about two weeks for a full-time, so we'll see how that goes. Depending on the situation I may or may not apply to a few other companies.
The goal is stable, plentiful income at a decent company, and then lots of saving and paying off of student loans (despite having been on better than a free ride for 3 out of my 4 years in college, I still have ~$10,000 in student loans sitting around, because I made the choice to go to a private college).

Going by profiles:
lucas: 16
SaiKar: 27
Not entirely true.
-
There's people younger than you here?
-
Awwww, Wucas is a wittew baby
-
Awww, baby's first real stressful life situation! How cute!
-
You know, I should just remove the font size controls from the forum. I haven't seen it used in any context other than being a brat.
-
At least the shrinking. Increasing the size is rather useful for making titles and stuff.

You're forgetting last week, when he spilled his sippy cup while finger painting.

Both words have a time and a place. Jerkwads from nowadays have been ignoring these rules and guidelines, ruining it for all of us.
-
I remember a point when I was the youngest one here! I joined when I was 12 and lied about my age by one year just so I could avoid sending out a second e-mail to my "parents" lol
-
I joined the beginning of my freshman year of high school. Weird... its been four years now... I can't believe that.
-
I was 15, I think.
-
I was 18 when I joined, but was also something of an idiot thanks to some crap that was going on.
-
I was 20ish when I joined, and I was a much nicer person then. I grew out of it.
-

This, but I joined when I was 16...and was an idiot from 16 though 18.
-
I was...16, I think.
I'm still fairly naive, but I'm more aware of it.
I think.
-
I joined when I was 14, shockingly. I'm 20 now. Gosh. I was never an idiot tho. Ever. Not once. Or multiple times.
-
I gotta erase some letters. I'm just too lazy.
-
I was waaaaaaaay noobish when I came here. I posted some ridiculous requests haha.
-
O.o
-
I'm kind of curious as to the technical reasons behind the quote bug.
It seems that after it nests enough quotes, it starts quoting the page.
-
Speaking of ages and stuff, this ruined my entire life:

Was gonna post in the staff area, but meh, who cares, everyone is staff now anyway,
Yeah, we'll just see about that. One of these days one of you bastards is going to sass me when I'm in a bad mood.
-
Which reminds me, I had to post this. Was gonna post in the staff area, but meh, who cares, everyone is staff now anyway
Hey Lucas, your hand called. It wants you to go **** yourself.
-
^ Bahaha! That was great! I want to laugh so bad, but my roommate is asleep. D=
-

So sad! :'(
-
And Zerl, thats hilarious. Now excuse me, I have a date. With my hand.
Lucas, this is an intervention.
You need to stop seeing your hand. It's not good for you.
Your hand changes you into a different person that we don't love the same way.
-
Lucas, your hands been deceiving you. Tempting you into darkness. We brought a specialist here to help you. These pills will help you, Lucas. Now be a good boy and do what you're told.
On a sidenote: Honestly, I just realized how awesome of a short game that comic would make.
-
What, where you drive a rover across vast expanses of red? Fuuuuun.
-
Haha, there'd have to be a twist. I was thinking, the comic could be the intro. Then afterwards, the rovers would start thinking, "Oh no! Something must have happened! I have to get myself back in order to save them!" The whole point would be the rover building a rocket to get back "home". He could also find "life" on the planet to interact with and make it less boring. Of course, completely unrealistic, but who the fock cares.
-
That sounds like quite possibly the worst idea for a game I have ever heard.
-
=(
*shuts up*

It could be worse. I love my hand so much. I'm attached to it, physically and emotionally. You can imagine how crushed I was when I caught it cheating on me... WITH MY BEST FRIEND.
But repaired our broken relationship. Turns out, my hand was (w/)ri(/gh)t(e/) for me.

I am going to college for the culinary arts/Hospitality Management to become a chef and eventually open a English pub and Tea house
-
Yep, lack of a computer without internet has put me behind for awhile, cooking seems hard at first but once you understand how heat effects proteins, acids, starches ect it becomes easier
-
Fried Eggs eh lol, some tarragon goes good with eggs, So what you been up to on here?
