Title: Greetings from Greelinator!
Post by: greelinator on November 09, 2010, 01:18:46 PM
Hello! I'm somewhat new to Charas. I've used this site before but I've never actually been a member til a week ago. I like the resources here and hopefully can get some people to take my requests. Most of the character sets, face sets, and monsters will be pokemon requests as I am working on a pokemon game.

Anyway I hope to enjoy my stay here and make lots of friends ^^

Last thing, I'm a huge metal/Megadeth fan!

Well, you're very welcome here.

But make sure that you check the Spriter's Resource (it's a website) before requesting anything Pokémonish 'cuz their collection of sprites is huge.
Especially Joshr's custom stuff might be useful.

Greetings! You like Eevee and Eevee evolves into Jolteon and Jolteon is
my favourite Pokémon, so I like you! :D

zuhane and lucas_irineu: Yes I am an Eevee/Eeveelution fan. Particular of Umbreon and Glaceon.

Prpl_Mage: I believe I tried using resources here before but couldn't get it so they'd fit in the stupid thing. I'm running 2k3 at the moment.

Fit into what stupid thing?
You could always compile them as battle animations and use them instead of battlechars.

If it weren't for the fact that I don't need the battle animation. I need either battle charas or regular character sets and face sets.

No, I meant that you can use battle animation files as battlechars.
In the tab of Battle Animation 2 (the battlechars tab) there is minor tab called "Animation type"
In that tab you see all the poses and then checkboxes on the right.
If you click on a pose such as "Idle stance" you'll see the idle stance of the character. But right to that preview is (probably) Punch A repeating over and over.
You can pick a battle animation here to be used instead of a battlechar.

So if you take - Eevee for example and place all them poses into a Battle animation sheet you can import it.
Then you open up Battle animation, you use the sheet to make all the poses you want. Idle stance, defense ect ect.
Next you open up battle animations 2, pick your eevee character , got to "animation type", check the box for Battle Animation and pick the pose you want to represent that .... well that pose.

That way you can use much larger sprites for battlers than ordinary.

Ohhhhhhh. Thanks!

EDIT: Well now I have a new problem. For some reason it displays four of the Quilava parts in one frame.

Wow! Prpl_Mage was right. Odd welcomes are given here. The oddest I've ever seen. Oh well. As long as they aren't insults I don't care.

Or less than one. One is the perfect number.

I feel like less than one is truly a worse fate here.

Penisaur rapes people without blinking. Or have you forgotten that one fateful night back when you were a child?

You're all Pokemon nerds. I'm the one guy on the forum that isn't a complete Japanophile, despite being half-Japanese. Fancy that.

And WELCOME, EVEE FACE!

I'm not really a Japan-o-phile. I prefer manly games, like stuff made by Valve and 2k and stuff and that.

Do you guys need a split topic or something?

-Japanophile Topic:

I am not a Japanophile. I dislike most Anime/Mangas for their exaggeration. I don't like expressions such as "kawai" or whatever. And few other things. Yes.

---------------------------------

-Welcome Topic:

Welcome, new person! Enjoy your stay and... err... well, yeah.

---------------------------------

-Question Just Above:

I don't think it's necessary. This isn't the first time a welcome topic goes out of subject.

Japanophile Topic: WTF?!?! I just like Pokemon. Nothing else. I don't favor the culture or anything else. Just some of the games.
Welcome Topic: Thanks for the good and somewhat odd welcomes.
Being Eaten: ......ummmmm ok......

Yeah, I don't think anyone mentioned the oft abnormal welcomes that we use ritualistically.

So just nod, say something polite, and walk away slowly.
