People talk about reviving this. Some thoughts have been thrown out. Some remain unanswered.
Do we want to continue where we left off?
Do we want to start anew?
Change the place?
Change how experienced trainers we are?
And stuff...
Discuss here instead of the old thread.

Maybe a limit to. The number of posts a day? It gets hard if you log on to find three new pages overnight.

That should be limit to the number. oops. Darn iPod adding a period where I don't want it...
Maybe we can also have it seperated in episodes then? Kinda a general idea of where we should go with the posts so everyone knows what's going on? It would be easier to make the RP last longer, without making it so much walking and more doing stuff? I dunno. My brain is pretty fried from finals.

I'm okay with not worrying about levels at all. Also, if we're starting over, I don't think I wanna play the bad guys this time. Was fun, but kind of ended up talking to myself a lot.

This is true.
Also, we could always divide the episodes by days. Someone suggested that we count the days and I said that it probably wouldn't be necessary. But from the looks of how things went - we might want to do just that.

Adding the old plot to make history for the new one? Haha I like it, although, its going to be crammed with pokémon trainers in Johto if this is true. haha

Good point. It will mean the trainers that are there are just going to be more active about being a skillful pokémon trainer. I support this idea.

I'm okay with being defeated as long as I did get to BURN THE LEAGUE TO THE GROUND at least once. Man those guys had it coming.

Now now Lucas, let's calm the Seel down here.
Some things that could be good to discuss before we get on with the second edition of this story.
1. Do we want chapters/episodes/ post limits?
Chapters and episodes would have to be predetermined unless we say that one chapter is badge 0 > 1 and then 1 > 2 ect ect. OR we could have episodes divided by the time passed (preferably 1 day). And do we want any post limit that prevents a certain group of people to post lightyears away from the remaining members' posts?
2. Do we want to go with Lucas idea?
The events of the past RP acts as the backstory of how things are now. Still a fictional place and that crap.
3. Do we carry on like we did last where we don't have to mention that our pokémon just reached a certain level and learned something?
I don't mind if people can defeat things, but remember to lose a little. Also, some pokémon are stronger than others. Keep that in mind. I'd hate to see a Qwillfish get beaten by a caterpie.

I still don't really understand what is meant by chapters/episodes. Are we talking about waiting until everyone reaches certain points?

The only problem with having the last RP be the backstory is that the last RP was already considerably in the future. Presumably, this means that every character from the games and show would be very old or dead by now. That's a little unfun.

Maybe those darn kids gave the Steelix back when the defeated the sexy sexy Rocket leader. Who knows. You never can tell what adventuring kiddos are going to do next.

i like this idea and since im off workk for 4 weeks I'm good to go. I like and dislike the old RP being the backstory. I'd probably reuse my character but with different pokemon.

We could always use the same kind of story but making it not so far into the future. Create a fictional world upon our fictional world and claiming the events of the last RP happening directly after g/s/c or something.
And yes, by chapters and episodes I'm guessing we're talking about waiting. Some days a couple of us were a lot more productive than others. And it might be boring when you need to read 2-3 pages because you were away for the weekened.

Much of the time I couldn't post is because I barely had the time to read the above posts before I would have to go somewhere, not like I was a way for a weekend.

What about this for a setting?
A few years ago, Team Rocket managed to overtake most part of Kanto's assets and pretty much ruled the pokémon business.
They had all the strong pokés and the latest items. They took over gym after gym and made them teach kids that strength is the only thing you should rely on. That trust and care means nothing,
One of the members of Team rocket decided to defeat the Elite four and start the new "Rocket Tournament" in its' place.
The elite four fell and a team rocket was pronounced the winner and best trainer in Kanto(and Jotho).
The leader didn't stop there but went to Hoenn and Sinnoh as well and all of a sudden was the best trainer in the world.
An island became the fortress of the Team rocket where they held the Rocket tournament. People travelled from around the world to participate but the rules and strength there was always in the favour of the rockets.
In the end Sacred Ash - a rebellious group, managed to hack into the Rocket box system and transfer most of the pokémon away from them with the help of a computer geek called [NAME].
When their supply of pokémon came to a halt the rocket leader challenged the Sacred Ash's trainers and their leader [NAME2] to a fight.
The trainers emerged victorious and the leader - ashamed to have lost to kids fled the island and was never seen again.
The Rocket tournament fell apart with the leadership of Team rocket gone and old gym leaders and elite four members found the guts to once again claim the right of titles such as "Emperor of Electric types" or "Strongest Rock user".
The old gym system was re-established and the Elite four managed to regain respect. Especially since some of the new leaders were part of the Sacred Ash back in the days.

This day all regions but the Kanto region is completely free from Rocket control and the Sacred Ash is working hard and long to hunt and capture the remaining Rocket members and stop all rocket activities before they grow too strong again.
The Elite four of Jotho is finally admitted as a professional Elite four organisation and the old traditions and ways of life is slowly catching up. Most things are as they were but some rocket compounds and facilities still remain.
This is where you enter the world. A new beginning for all trainers.
NOTES: The rockets' rise to power happened directly after the events of Gold and Silver or such.
Which should - perhaps land us in a time somewhat earlier than when our last RP took place.
Also note that the last RP is in a different universe where Lucas is flying around on Articuno and catching every dragonite he sees.
BUT there could always be a nice time paradox that makes some of the members of the Sacred Ash be called and carrying the same pokémon as our last heroes. Also, there might be a slight chance that the team rocket leader who took on the Elite four was indeed called Saiar.
But I won't dwell too much on it.
It's just that making this take place 10 years after the last RP would make me expect hovercycles, mass produced master balls and teleportation system between towns.
