Cue sadface and there goes my only reason to get a 3DS.
Source?

Yeah, I linked to a post with a link. SUE ME.
-
Well ****.
-
We'll have to wait a while extra for rabid fanboys to make translation patches after the game releases, I guess. Capcom have been making a few retard moves lately.
-
WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT
Why wouldn't you localize the Ace Attorney games? They have a large fanbase, don't they? Seems kind of dumb. Not to mention that, being an AA fan myself, it makes me sad.
-
WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT
This is what I love on Charas. The reactions to news are so succint.

I feel sorry for whatever that monitor happens to land on.
May that cement slab rest in peace.
-
And may that monitor rest in pieces. Ba-dum ching.
-
This news is really piecing me off.
*cue laugh track*
-
**** you Capcom. **** you. I hope bad things happen to you because of this. BAD things...
-
... ... ... ...
Order in the court! (http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=4910583)
I've been resisting the urge to post one of these for so long. I think this is an appropriate time.
-
This remind me of the "Objection!" thread we had.
Also...
A boot to the head.
-
Boot to the head!
And damn, I'm about ready to abuse admin powers on this sig.
-
But why? Isn't it the most cheerful thing to look at in the dark? Or is there another reason?
-
Everytime I've seen it I've been thinking "nope.jpg"
-
Don't know what all the commotion is about. The worst thing about it is that it's a tad big, vertically. Beyond that, it's nothing particularly horrifying or special or whatever. Honestly, the jump in the reflection ruins most of the suspended disbelief.
-
Fine! Since you guys are wuss!.. with Admin powers and a urge to abuse them, I've changed it.
-
Now I'm glad I never started playing it. I can't be upset.
-
I played the first one. It was good but not great. It was basically a decent detective novel in interactive form. There was no real "game" to it - either I advanced the plot by doing something right or they told me I was stupid and I had to try again. I also felt some of the plot twists were a bit heavy-handed and would have been a lot happier if the game had left me to puzzle over certain things instead of bonking me on the head and telling me what was important. And obviously there is no reply value since, once you've figured out the progression of evidence and clues, there's no real compulsion to do it again.
I don't regret buying it, but I only paid ten bucks.
-
The first game dragged its feet a little, but it was pretty good.
Justice For All was a small improvement.
Trials and Tribulations is probably my favourite DS game. It is superb. The final case is stunning. I'd recommend acquiring it if you can.
-
hey guys.
Remember Layton VS Phoenix Wright?
Yeah, japan-only too, it seems.
EDIT: For all it is worth, here's a petition:
http://www.petitiononline.com/AAI2US/petition.html
-
God damn, Capcom. Do you really not want our money?
Signed, even if it's just a futile gesture...
-
Huh? I could have sworn I made a post a little while ago, but it's not there anymore. Like, I seem to remember actually reading it on the page. Whatever. I don't feel like typing it up again other than to say that I thought T&T > the first game and JFA (which I found to be about equally good) and that 2-4 is my favorite of any case in any of the Ace Attorney games.
Oh, and the greatest appeal of the Ace Attorney games has to be the characters and the clever dialogue. It really says something when a series of games has a huge cast of characters and the vast majority of them are memorable.
I'm definitely signing that petition, for all it's worth. And I'm still wondering where my post went. Am I trippin'?
-
Pretty sure I've seen "Natako: Posting in ~So apparently Capcom said it won't localize Ace Attorney anymore." while viewing the Who is Online page. Not the first time I see someone typing a reply which never appeared, though I suppose some times, the poster just changed his/her mind and did not post. Also not the first time I've seen someone thinking s/he had replied to some thread while s/he apparently did not... in fact, it once happened to me. Probably some kind of conspiracy going on.
Anyway, you know, I've never played any games of this franchise, but I'll sign this petition, for you, my friends, on this glorious quest to make Capcom change their mind! Even though I doubt it'll change much, yeah.
-
Yeah, I see posts disappear all the time. I have no idea why or where they go.
-
Pretty sure I've seen "Natako: Posting in ~So apparently Capcom said it won't localize Ace Attorney anymore." while viewing the Who is Online page.
Cerebus, are you stalking me? Just admit it.
Perhaps the board has some bugs. Or maybe a mod *cough* is just trying to mess with our minds. :P
-
I'd thought about being that mod, but I'm not one to rock the boat...
-
Cerebus, are you stalking me? Just admit it.
Yes.
And I see you still haven't repaired that window lock. Don't bother looking for that Carebear shirt; I'm wearing it right now.
-
Great. Now I know who that freakish note under my car door handle was from. By the way, I'm not even kidding about that. It was one of those "Do <this>, <this>, and <this> or else..." type notes. I laughed aloud at the poor spelling and handwriting.
...So then I guess it wouldn't be you after all, unless you were trolling me.
-
It was written in a rush.
Now, do these three <this> or else...
-
Or else what? What are you going to do, steal more of my girly t-shirts?
-
Or else, I'll be wearing your skin instead of your T-Shirts.
On a more serious note, though, everything seems to get better for you. Car problem, locking yourself outdoor and now your very own stalker!
-
Yeah, I know. Maybe someone secretly has it out for me, and that's the reason why I had the car problems in the first place. And as for the being locked out of my house, there's NO WAY that I would be stupid enough to do something like that. No way at all. I AM AN EVIL GENIUS WITH THE POWER OF SCIENCE! Never would I be stupid enough to leave my house key at the car shop or anything of that nature.
And now Capcom isn't planning to localize AA, though I'm still holding onto an iota of hope that the petition will actually make some kind of difference. 2011 is getting off to a terrific start already, let me tell you.
And I want to make a pony avatar now, dammit.
Edit: You know, your signature is really stalker-ish. Just saying. :P
-
And I want to make a pony avatar now, dammit.
You must!

"But thou must!"

Oh my God.
I've never lol'D so hard in my life, and I don't even know why it's that funny.
Besides being from Val's comic.
