Am I the ONLY person looking forward to this?
Geez.
-
I would, but Steam is being a prick and crashing every game after a few seconds.
I tried everything and even SPUF told me to give up on it after a while.
-
Anything created by Valve is Godly. It's almost like they listen to what their customers want...
Oh wait, they do!
-
Umm...
I'M ****ing EXCITED!
My friend and I have it pre-ordered and ready to pick up on a Midnight Release.
PS3 w/ free Steam download of game for multiplayer :)
-
Hey, the PS3 thing is tied to a single Steam account. Don't plan on co-oping with a buddy off of one copy.
Oh, and this:

Yeah, what Archem says.
You install Steam on your PS3.
Then you have Portal 3 on your disc, which you have to log in to Steam to play (I think), which is different from the PC version of the game that they give you for free, but that gets tied to the PS3 made Steam account. And since you won't be able to play on the same account over two different locations, you'll need a second copy.
-
Portal on ps3? odd.
I should probably actually get around to play portal 1 sometime. Feels like I missed out on something.
-
Razor, what is a Portool?

Yeah, it's a great puzzle game packed with fantastic humor, typically dry and black. Pretty Valve of them, even.
-

I still haven't finished 2 yet. :/

Don't get me wrong. I know how that's supposed to work.
I know ways around things...
-
I loved Portal. I was tempted to get that one on the Xbox marketplace which had a few additional level. I may eventually get it. And probably Portal 2, yeah. This'll have to wait a bit, but eventually, yes.
-
Those additional levels are available for free on PC. They're part of a map pack made by somebody at Bethesda (I think).
-
My friend wants me to get it on 360 so we can play together, but I want it for my PS3...because I don't have much games for it.

Just finished playing a bit of co-op. I must say, it's an absolute blast. I'm a little worried about the store, though. If Portal becomes the hatfest that TF2 has become, I will be saddened.
-
Am I crazy in saying that I still want HL2: E3 more?!?!
-
No
-
I got my tyrant's helm in co-op. GOTY right there.
anyway the hats and skins will be so minor, and they'll have even less of an effect in a 2player co-op instead of where the silhouettes matter in a 24 player game.
-
24-player? Oh, right, I forgot that 24 is the default player count, since I spend all my time in the 32-player games.
And nobody is insane for wanting Ep. 3 more than anything else on the market.
-
Eli :'(
With your beautiful deformed leg <3
-
And now I'm sad...
-
In fact, why haven't Valve won a Nobel Prize yet? It seems wrong that scientists and stuff are winning them instead of Valve.
-
Especially since there's so much science going on, now more than ever.
-
Between the two of us, my roommate and I have completed both co-op and single player.
FANTASTIC GAME.
Still rather short, but great fun nonetheless. New song at the end is equally hilarious as "Still Alive," and I am a fan of the Space Core...
SPAAAAAAAAAACE!!!!
-
To be honest, Archem, who cares about life-threatening diseases, global warming and fuel depletion? None have
ever affected me personally. However, Valve's games have personally affected me! :D
-
But the work of Valve is not life changing in any way!
Although I still don't know why those Norwegians get to hand out the peaceprize, remains of when we were a union.
I should probably get my arse of the chair and play through Half life 2 as well huh? I think I got it laying around here somewhere. My brother bought it and all that... In fact, I think I only completed Opposite Force when it comes to half life games. I did play a bunch of vs in half life though. Loved the alien weapons.

The whole ending sequence from, well:
the beginning of the final battle til the end of the credits was amazing, incredible, fantastic.
Beating Wheatley, the moon shot, oh man the moon shot, they set that up cleverly with what cave johnson said. And they finally answered the question about pressure on the other side of the portals. Glados actually saves you, and just when it looks like she pulls a face-heel-turn and goes back to her evil self, well she kind of does. Except she decides since killing you hasn't worked at all, she lets you go.
And then there's the ending song, which while not as catchy as Still Alive, is equally great I think. And then when you finally get outside, your burnt companion cube joins you! Oh that Glados!
And we get to look forward to presumably free DLC down the track.
-
I looked online and Wheatley is hilarious!
Purple, Half-life 2 is as Landmark a game as any other genre-defining game! It blew my mind from start
to finish. You're doing yourself a disservice by avoiding playing it!
-
I still like Wheatley.
-
I'm in space!
Also, who wants to play some co-op?
-
Sure thing. What's your Steam ID?
-
I played with my friend in Indiana the other day. What is that, the middle of the US?
Anyway, the lag was not really noticeable, besides the relay in voice chat. It's pretty awesome.
-
Yeah, Indiana's somewhere in the middle of this big 'ol mass of land over here.
-
@Archem: Welp, my friend's Steam ID is BlckAlchmst. So, reach me through that name. Say, Monday around 3ish?
-
Man, the Portal 2 SDK. ****ing awesome.
I just want to make maps now.
