Coolio. How does it feel to still be playing DS games?

In all seriousness, those games coming out in the future are going to be awesome. Have fun playing Starfox and Ocarina of Time...

Wait, are all the games you can play on that thing from the past? What the hell?

Damnit, Lucas! I wanted to press "Like" on your post.

Can Charas get a "Like" button?

No, that's dumb. How about a dislike button? I'm all for the pessimistic approach.

Hows it like having the console but not having any of the good games?

It's like owning a PSP.

It's like owning a PSP.

Oh snap.

Anyway, thought about buying it at release but decided to at least wait for ocarina of time or something. Will put it off for as long as I can - still like my sprite graphics.

Honestly, all people talk about is OoT.

am I the only one who never really liked that game?

I'm waiting for either a price drop (hah!) or a model redesign (3DS Lite?) before I buy one. For $249, I can wait.

Mine was R$800.

Each game is R$120.

Edit:

According to google, that is 499,356 dolars and 74,9064 dolars respectively.

I liked OoT, but I think it's not the best game in the series - that belongs to LttP and the Oracle games.
Title: Re: I bought a 3DS
Post by: Prpl_Mage on May 27, 2011, 08:03:03 PM
But OoT was the first 3d game, it's kinda like why people like ff7.

Really, OoT had several dungeons, the crazy guy in the windwill and many memorable events. Puzzels and annoying pixies. It wasn't the overworld look 24/7 and classic items like the sword beam, bow, bombs, boomerang ect. This was something new compared to the older games. And they did it good.

I wonder how the snake eater will be though, if it's just a port or extra content.

Definitely, but as Lucas mentioned, don't forget Link's Awakening.
But yeah, A Link to the Past is my favourite and will remain until I die... or until they make another one that's as good. Which probably won,t happen. But who knows.

Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past are tied for me.

Yup.

Wind Waker was a phenomenal game. Don't say it's weird to love it.

A Link to the Past was the best, though. OoT was great for so many reasons, but the depth and detail in ALttP was incredible, and none of the others has matched it.

Majora's Mask for me. Because I have no taste. Unless that comes to 3ds, I'm not in a rush to get one.

I never played WW or any other gamecube game.

With the exception of Melee for five minutes on my wii before realizing that it was unplayable.
You're like some sort of criminally insane monster.

WW was a great game, had a lot of fun with it. Loads of stuff to do, sidequests and silly things. Chracters were memorable like that Eskimo or buttface-fish.

Still like to pick it up after some time when I've forgotten some of the puzzles.

2. MM
3. ALttP
4. WW
5. Oracle
6. MC
7. LoZ
8. Awakening
9. Adventure
10. 4 Swords

Windwaker was a great game. The graphics were interesting and well-done, the characters and locations were memorable, and it was fun overall. What I didn't like about it was that the difficulty level seemed to have gone down from previous games with the introduction of the parry attack. I seem to also recall that things in WW generally did less damage to you. I wasn't all that fond of the Triforce-hunting portion of the game either...Tingle is a whore.

That part killed it for me. I never beat WW because I didn't have the patience for that part of the game.

But you kinda got a map where you could see where the pieces were. You just had to go that island and solve something. Or so I remember it at least.

I had one problem with majoras mask - I could never complete a dungeon until the 3 days were over. So I had to turn back time and start over again a couple of times. I remember getting Oldawa and the boss at the snowplace. But I never got around finishing the turtle.

I found Majora's Mask boring safe for the side quests. Not enough dungeons, too, but that's also a problem with a few other Zelda's.

Okay, great. So where is the Dissidia series, remakes of MM/X, Castlevania remakes, MGS games, Mortal Kombat Unchained, Badman, TEKKEN, Clauden, Savage Moon, LocoRoco, Bloons, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy 9, Dino Crisis, Xenogears, Crash Bandicoot or Spyro?

PS1 games don't count. They don't. Just like any case of backwards-compatibility, they just don't count.

Just sayin'.

Gotta say that PS1 games are better on the PS3 than the PsP, you kinda lack the R2 and L2 buttons while trying to play otherwise. Takes away some feeling.

And not to be an *** but the resident evil games were ported for the gamecube and MGS as well, so you can play those on your wii.

I got like 4 games for my psp; Tekken 6, Dissidia, KH Birth by sleep and Monster hunter. The rest are PS1 games such as FF7-9.

Some of the RE games were ported to the Wii, too.

Dissidia was okay, despite the 'plot'. Dissidia 2 was just dissidia with a DLC pack. Don't care for Mortal Kombat, if TEKKEN was anything like the PSP's Soul Calibur then it was a joke. Don't know what are Clauden, Savage Moon, LocoRoco, or Bloons, so I'll concede they might be good games I just never heard of.

PS1 games are PS1 games. They are cool and I love playing them, but I could do it in my PS2 just as well.

Tekken 6 for the psp is basically tekken 6 for the PS3 but choppy graphics, less customization, easier way to earn gold and no single player campaign with Lars.

Feels kinda like a training version of the actual game.
I only play tekken against other people after all so I'm using the ps3 for that instead since it got 2 controllers.

In other words, near the same as Soul Calibur for PSP. The only difference is that you actually have many customization options on it that you don't have in Soul Calibur IV, while at the same time, you have more limitations (mainly colours, though).
And no Online...

I wish they had all the added features of Broken Destiny for Soul Calibur IV... oh, and Dampierre, too. I love this guy. In a non gay way.
