At this point, its really hard to decided which one goes where.  I've done the same exact type of topic in both.

As for the Flowering Night (first one)... it just sounds really weird with the instruments you used.  Mostly the jazz guitar.  It just sounds like it almost doesn't belong.  I'm not familiar with the original, but its... odd.  How did you go about arranging it?  Personally, I enjoy the downmix a lot more.  However, that part that the jazz guitar had still sounds weird.  It would help if I knew the song but it just sounds unnaturally dissonant.

@PROGUY
So should I take the topic over there? I just assumed it'd go here... since its a creative art and all. :P

@A Forgotten Legend
Hmm... I thought the jazz guitar sounded okay... Could you be more specific about what sounds odd about it? I still have my file saved so I can edit it up. I arranged it by using sheet music that I found online and using FL Studio 8 XXL Producer Edition, using the MIDI Synth section. The sheet music however, only had the melody, so I made up the rest. It wasn't until after I made my arrangement that I heard the original, due to my laziness of not wanting to turn on the internet during the composition. So the only thing the same is the melody, however my version does sound pretty... close... on some sort of level.

In my opinion, the Downmix sounded more dissonant, but that one was out of my control. I took the MIDI and simply put it into my copy of GXSCC and it did the work for me. If I had the full version of it I could make adjustments.

Here is the original song, which is far superior to mine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGEOuQXzS-w

@Uh... no one in particular
Wind God Girl is being worked on now! It'll take off the ground soon. Well, as soon as I figure out how to put triplets into this stupid program. :\

start is really cool, and the end at original mix, but in the middle those sounds...ehm, it's a little bit weird

Its not the instrument itself, but the notes its playing.  It sounds as if the rest of the instruments are playing in one key and they forget to let that part in on the secret.

I believe its in the same key. I'll check again soon. If not, I can easily transpose it.

BTW, the piano, J guitar and violin are all DEFINITELY in the same key. Well, piano for the most part.

Are there accidentals in the Jazz guitar's part?

I will start listening when Bad Apple is done.

That is all.

@A Forgotten Legend
Well, considering I only had sheet music for the melody, I split it up into three instruments. The piano had it until the jazz guitar came in. The jazz guitar took over from there, and then the violin got it, then the j. guitar and violin shared it. If anything, it's probably the piano when it became harmony or the bass guitar. Probably even the organ.

@ZeroKirbyX
You've got a long time to wait. :P

That is pretty likely then.  Especially if the tonal center changed when the guitar comes in.

@AFL
Maybe.
I don't have a lot of time today to look at it, but after listening to it again, I may have aligned the piano harmony onto the wrong key by accident. Whoops. That's probably the problem there, since the piano plays the entire song.

I'm a music noob unlike AFL, so I can't really say much technically, but I like what's here thus far.
Agreeing with ZK, though. Bad Apple yeeeeesssssss please.

@Phayre
Considering the demand, I think I'll just work on that one next. I can't quite figure out how to add in triplets on my music maker yet, so Wind God Girl has to wait... I'll just do them in any order. ^^
