You don't find this creepy at all? It's not like Hollywood, I work in Toronto where acting is just like any job, we're just working shmoes only with less money.
He went through info at a place of work for unprofessional reasons, and then sent a letter through an agency that is for strictly business contact as if it were a dating agency. He admits to have been eavesdropping on a conversation I was having with someone, lists a **** ton of credentials as if to point out how awesome he is, and then goes on and on about asian culture and how he feels more asian than white as if that even means something? Or that somehow my race should be on the forefront of my mind enough to be an ice breaker? It's just weird...

You lads are nuts. Any time a 55~-year-old goes chasing some 20-year-old tail, it's creepy. It is always creepy.
Especially when he digs up contact info intended for professional work to hunt her down. Especially when he became interested in her after eavesdropping on a conversation. Especially when he uses her race/appearance in a sad, shallow attempt to find common ground.

Maybe it's the weird genderswap link, but I can't get over how very stalker-y this guy seems to be, on the surface. With a little extra info, he seems even more creepy.
Try not to let any more personal info out; he seems like the rape-and-murder type.

1) I didn't see an age mentioned, and I admit I've only skimmed it but I didn't see it again after going back for a quick look
2) There are lots of times when you just overhear people. At work, people often talk loudly next to my office, and I catch fragments of the conversation. Sometimes my ears perk up if I hear things that are interesting to me. I guess it's "eavesdropping" but people act like they can talk loudly in public places and everyone will just turn off their ears.
3) I guess the guy liked what he heard but didn't have an opportunity to talk to Zerl but still wanted to take a shot. So he came up with what he probably realized was a fairly wrong way to contact her, have no other options, and tried to make it sound as friendly as possible. He probably realized that there was a good chance that this would be received poorly, but maybe it wouldn't, and at least he'd have tried. You never succeed at stuff you don't try at, and it probably would have bothered him for a while if he just gave up without trying.
4) I'm not trying to get in Zerlina's online pants so I'm not going to agree with her blindly.

I read this and all I can think is: There's actually somebody out there who writes. On paper. I mean...That's just fantastic, ain't it? O.o I mean I can't even get my best friend of thirteen years to PHONE me. On a actually phone and you find somebody who will actually send mail to you? One word: Keeper.

I thought it was weird that he didn't put down his age. He could be a stalker, or he could just be a dork.
I'd see if he has a facebook. It's free advertising for entertainers so it's likely he'll have one. If he's the same picture, send him a request. Then you can really check his profile. If I had his job, I'd have it all over my wall about the projects I worked on. You could also see what his friends are saying about him.
If this is legit, congratulations to you both. I'm unbelievably jealous of the roles this guy says he had. And congrats to you girl for playing Fantine in Les Mis. :)
edit: I did a quick search some of the roles he played, and I could only find one guy similar. :/
