Apparently I have Herpes Zoster/Shingles. Kinda like an adult form of the chicken pox, but I'm only 21. Sucks that I can't rest through it I have a combat readiness exercise for the next week. Damn Military.
So what's the sickest you've ever gotten? Aside from this lizard skin, I had a couple wicked cases of bronchitis.

When I was like 1 year old I came down with some horrible infant disease that required me to be in some sort of breathing tent in a hospital for about three days. I don't remember the details since I was 1. Since then, the worst I've had is colds that last a couple days.

I had some kind of bug for a whole week that caused me to vomit up to ten times a day. I was starving, but even if I were allowed to eat, it wouldn't spend more than five minutes inside of me. The only thing that stayed down was Ginger Ale. I think maybe five other kids at my school also had it.
Then I learned that I like Ginger Ale.

I remember when I was little kid I had something that made me puke a lot. Constantly for a few days. But I don't remember how, what, or why. Not about to ask now. OTher than that, same as Sai. Colds and minor fever.

When I was two years old a arachnideus parasite began to form inside the infra spinatus (my shoulder) which made the institute of infectious disease (medical wing of the government) want to put me down, my parents managed to convince the goverment to just remove the shoulder and the arm to let me live. So they did just that, but then my fovea began bleeding since the parasite had spread there, so they tried to cure it but I lost one of the eyes. Lately my legs are shrinking and my remaining arm is looking like Birkin from resident evil.
Yeah... I've only had the common stuff, haven't even had the flu. Some food poisoning and such, nothing worse.

Last semester, I got some sort of virus. Diarrhea, vomiting, wicked headaches, fever, rapid heartbeat, delirium. I also was literally unable to walk without collapsing. I've also had a recurring mono-like virus, bronchitis and strep throat.
I got chickenpox, so I guess I've dodged the shingles bullet. :/

I went to the hospital due to some really bad allergic reaction to McDonalds.
It gave me hives and I couldn't stop puking.
It was one of the most awful experiences I've ever had.
Also I have a brain cyst. I win!

Last year I had some sort of severe throat infection. Eating, speaking, and coughing were all very painful. I was coughing up colorful gunk almost nonstop. Had to take three days off of work.

Does depression count? If not, I had a stomache (pun!) virus that basically left me immobilized by intense pains all day. Later on, I puked everywhere. After that, I was still quite nauseous and a little ache-y, but I was alright by the next day.

Sucky and life-crushing? Yes. But not crippling (unless you're having a down spell and almost fall in the deep fat fryer at work).

I've already visited a doctor last year. I decided that he's a quack, and have made some self-esteem progress that's more-or-less gotten me out of the decade-long suicidal slump.
Because **** that idiot.

I cope with it fairly well. Some days are worse than others, though.

I was sick for a day two years ago, all the friends I hung out with that day got the swine flu, one was even quarantined for a week. Before that, I had the flu several times as a child :/

I also had appendicitis when I was younger. The thing is, my appendix was apparently deeper in my abdomen than most people, so all I had was an on-and-off stomachache for a month before they realized it. They managed to catch it before it burst, but I was out of school for about a month afterwards. I had chicken pox too, but that was so long ago that I barely remember it.

Here's some advice for you all. Should you ever go away to university or similar, don't rush ahead with the whole "getting lots of ladies" thing. It turns out girls really do have cooties. And by cooties I mean glandular fever. I know, what the hell.
Being tired beyond belief for no reason and unable to swallow anything for 2 weeks really ruins your date with Archem messes with your schedule.

I actually had a case of shingles last October. It took about a month to fully cure, but that's probably because I waited a week or so before realizing that it wasn't just a bad rash and that I had to see a doctor about it. It hurt like a bitch...and to make matters worse, it itched. It didn't matter whether any clothing was touching the rash or not, it just hurt.

Same here. Except add a class where you have to crawl through the mud and clear rooms Solid Snake style. Definitely a bad idea.

I had the ebola virus for 3 years in the Congo. That wasn't very nice.

I once puked 8 times in one night because of a stomach bug.
I think the fever of 104* I had about two years ago beats that, though. Man, I could barely stand up.

2 in the morning. Something sharp in my intestines tore a hole in my intestinal wall that caused excruciating pain for about 7 hours. Do you know what it feels like to be stabbed in your gut? Well I do now. Took two days before I could eat again. This happened three days after last Christmas.
It was the second worst pain that I have ever felt.
The worst pain I ever felt was in the eighth grade. I came down with some illness something or other. Presented like the flu, only the tests turned up negative. Got medicine for flu treatment anyways since the symptoms were more or less the same. The pain was completely disabling. I lied on a couch in silence for an entire week. I ate almost nothing and hardly remember that first week. My fever peaked out at 105 and averaged 102/103. I remember the only thought that I had during that week was wanting to die. Every waking minute was living hell.
I was much better the next week (it was still the pain of a very bad fever, but I could move and eat.) Someone say me during the weekend between these two weeks when I was starting to feel better. To this day, they still say how pale and in pain I looked. I finally returned to school after two weeks. Worst pain ever.
