Yeah, so maybe some of you have heard, maybe you ain't, but this weekend, New England got clobbered by a random october snowstorm. Trees are down everywhere. On every road in every single town around there are trees and power lines down. It's nuts. I was lucky and was only out of power for only two days. Last report I heard, 1.7 million power have been without power since saturday night. Everything's shut down. I haven't had classes all week and classes for tomorrow have been canceled. On the college's site, it says classes may even be canceled Thursday. So yeah, been a bit of a crazy few days.

Same here, but I was luckier and only had a few hours out. Hope your family could stand each other for that long, mine couldn't.

There's this one time I live just outside of the range of all that stuff... and we just got a lot of snow that melted the next day. Although, we had a football game that saturday and we had our last marching band performance. Moving 186 beats per minute in snow is not an easy task.

...And down here in Texas, we're getting the awesomest cold fronts.
Thanks for taking one for the team.

Man, my coast is boring.
All that happens here is rain.
Sorry to hear about what's happening there.
Seems like it was rather sudden...and devastating.
Haven't heard much about it, though.

Not likely. My step father was so desperate to distract my mom he hooked up his car battery to this converter he's got. It only allows for a certain amount of wattage, just enough to watch tv. and out of all the things you might want to use during a power outage, especially at your fuel tank's expense, they chose tv.

Just rain and rain. With a little rain to break up the monotony.
-
Down over here we are facing an unexpected cold summer.
Nothing major, though. At least where I live, in other parts of the country, floods and landslides keep on happening as they do every month.
-
Interestingly enough we still haven't had any snow. Sure our daylight is missing in action like every year but we usually have grey skies and white ground by now.

:,(

I have never even seen snow.
You're not missing much.
-
I agree so much.
Christmas should be the only day with snow.
-
We've had snow a handful of times in my lifetime. Seriously. I can count the times on my hands. One hand, actually.
It's pretty magical when you're not a jaded dick, actually.
-
Hey, I like snow. It's cool and all. But I don't like it when it seeks to kill every tree in my state.
-

It might be magical if you can count the number of time you saw snow on one hand.
When it's every year for a couple months, it loses it's magic feeling quite fast. Especially when there's snow storms and you have to go out.
Shovelling snow also sucks. And when you have a car, it's worst. Fortunately, I don't.
-
Ah, southerners.
You guys are silly.
Although, I guess I count as "southern" to Cerb.

**** trees. All they do is cast a shadow over everything you do. Hogging all that sweet, sweet COČ. Then they go and dump millions of leaves all over my lawn, and I'm expected to clean up after the litter bugs? Don't Mess With Texas!
