So I realised that I could get this game for the pretty sum of (what my dear converter says) 24,59$. I even got some sort of collection edition with a small book of concept art.
This game got little in common with the earlier 2 games (which I did know), it includes time travels and time paradoxes and it's mission based.
All that is just a slight annoyance when it comes to video games, it's still a fun game to play and all.
Basically Aya now have the ability to take over people's bodies(Overdive). One at a time, swapping people. Pretty much like changing a character in other games, only that the body you previously had is now screaming his lungs out as he's being raped by 20 tentacles and 15 projectile balls. Yeah, I feel sorry for all the people I've gotten killed because I controlled their bodies, used up their ammo and then got cornered by a large monster spitting acid on me and hacking his way at me. And once the hp is getting low I switch to a healthy soldier's body. It's a pretty fun ability to use.
I just kinda miss those "activated" abilities that parasite eve 2 had. Like fireballs, healing, barriers and such crap. In this game you have a "board" with 3x3 slots in which you can place "dna orbs" which holds passive abilities. Stuff like a passive def increase, auto life, critical shot, offensive boost upon kill, chance to heal hp/ ammo while using overdive ect. It's a pretty neat system where you can mix and match those dna orbs for different abilities or higher levels of an ability.
For all you guys out there. You're equipment breaks when you take overall - a lot of damage. As in, by the end of some of the harder missions she no longer were wearing her shirt, it was gone. Her pants were reduced to covering 20% of her butt and front. So yeah, a bit fanservice. Only problem is that you take more damage the more damaged your equipment is.
And now for the worst part. I completed the story on normal difficulty in 9 hours. Just felt a little short like that. The game consists of 6 missions and like 10 bosses.
I kinda like my games long, makes the happiness last longer. Gonna start my new game + file here and see if I can complete some more sub-missions to unlock more equipment.
Maybe I should've gotten dissidia 12 or something else for my psp.

I remember writing something about this game when it came out and I "bought" it.
My opinion: The game is stupid and Squenix should have left the series to die instead of bringing it down to... to this.
