Or holidays or whatever-is-supposed-to-be-the-political-correctness this year!
So what are you guys doing for Christmas? Anyone taking a trip or is it gathering around all them relatives and family like usual? Anyone having trouble deciding whether you should celebrate with your family or those people your partner call family?
Do you have snow?
What's at the top of the Christmas list (not counting world peace)?
I'm staying at home to celebrate with my parents and such, pretty traditional Christmas with tons of decorations (not the electric or flashing kind), weird fishes in jars, large ham, meatballs, sausage and some other dishes I wouldn't even touch. So far there is no snow over here (it's Sweden dammit!) Which kinda makes this a bit odd. We usually have layers of snow by now. But the sky is all white and everything else is all saturated. It's kinda like resident evil 4 actually...hmm.
Anyway, I'm only hoping that I get Skyward sword. Could use a bit of nintendo fun. Good ol' nintendo never letting me down so far.
Btw. How 'bout we try to create a christmas tradition where we share a project or game or something each Christmas? So that 'till next Christmas we share some stuff instead of handling presents or secret santa? Each person can do whatever they want and have a whole year to do it.
-
Since all my family live close by there is really no traveling for the holidays and mainly consists of talking and eating gathered at one of our houses. Isn't too interesting, not to sound like a scrooge or grinch or what-have you. Still have fun and all and food is good.
-
Snow? Haha. It's summer here. I really, really wish it wasn't though.
-
We have snow, and while it does look pretty, I don't like it. But yeah, it looks pretty. And well... I can accept snow during Christmas.
Because a snowless Christmas kinda sucks. Or rather, it probably would, since it never happened so far. But we're probably getting close to it since it pretty much only started snowing yesterday.
As for what we'll do, well... traditional family thing.
Unfortunately unable to be with Natako during Christmas... which kinda sucks. Next year, probably...
At least we did spend some time together before, though. Not that you all really care, though.
To be honest, I'm starting to like Christmas less now that I'm getting older. I mean, family reunion is nice and all, but I'm not looking forward to it as much as I used to.
Oh and that secret Santa thing which I didn't want to participate in but was pretty much kinda forced to.
Kinda sucks to spend money so I can get something I don't even want. Because seriously, there's nothing I want.
I have a job, so if there's something I want, I'll get it myself. So I've asked for gift card. Whoo.
Actually, no, there IS one thing I'd like for Christmas. I don't think I need to say what it is... or who, rather.
*sigh*
Christmas sucks. I've lost the magic. Or whatever. Guess getting older does that...
Well... on a positive note, I'll probably still end up having fun and all.
So yeah, Merry Christmas to you all.
-
Speak for yourself.
I am excited for tonight's Christmas party with my family. Specially because we have GIFT WARS (this is our 6th year doing this).
Where the ones that are witty and courageous enough gift pranks according to how the year went for that person receiving the gift.
Is basically an excuse for the older ones to have some fun at Xmas Party.
-
My sister and dad are making enchiladas for Xmas. It's what they do. I enjoy that. Other than that, we don't have any kind of traditions. I bought most of my own gifts this year, so I know what I'm getting. The gifts that I didn't buy, I orchestrated, so I still know what I'm getting. Skyward Sword, Mark Twain's autobiography, a case of booze, and some CDs.
-
Metty Cthisrmas.
-
Same thing as Darkfox regarding family... I'm pretty sad because I was hoping for no snow and then last night the great weather gods gave onto us a coat... that I now just realized has melted. Whoo!
-
I have a small family, so we're not going to do much. No tree this year because it's just a giant chore. :x
-
We have a dinky little fiberoptic tree that we slap on our kitchen table. Aside from that, Christmas isn't a really big deal here in Phayre-land. No extended family to speak of, really.
Hope everyone has a good one, though c:
-
Merry Christmas everyone.
-
Merry Christmas, my wonderful friends.
-
Jegus, look at that old ****.
-
My friend mailed me a goddamn pony.
****
ed: Holy **** they have long hair.

edos:
Good morning and Merry Christmas everyone!
So...my haul.
The two really ****ing awesome things are a Radeon HD 4670, which is the most powerful graphics card I've ever owned, and a portable 1TB hard drive.
I also got a new knife, a book, and $50, $25 of which I just spent on the Humble Indie Bundle.
Also also, a fuckload of t-shirts.
and yes my mom bought me another goddamn pony

Got my PS3, Uncharted 1+2 double pack, MGS HD collection, Skyward Sword, Blokus (a board game), a guitar chord bible, Mark Twain's autobiography, a Black Sabbath CD, a Kyuss CD, an extra PS3 controller, two t-shirts, two bags of dark chocolate-covered berries (pomegranate and açai), and a pack of underwear.
Anyone who wants to be a PSN stalker, add HardChem to your friends thing.

Someone loves Archem.
I got Skyward sword, a really fancy gaming mouse with a lot of high-tech stuff I'll probably won't use. A fancy gaming mouse pad for my fancy mouse and a new fancy headset. After that it was all grown up stuff that people thought I could use.
-
I got a new laptop battery, a pikachu shirt, a pair of pants, some blueberry teabags, a new phone (which won't be here until later this week), and money.
-
Someone loves Archem.
Saying it again, I bought all the high-dollar stuff myself. Self love is awesome.
Masturbation.
-
I got a water filter, a slow cooker, a pair of insulated gloves, and a lamp.
Being a grown up sucks.
-
3 shirts, 2 stylish hats, 1 pair of red designer shades, a yearly 3' x 5' painting (this year: cast of Avengers) and, between my birthday and Christmas, 18 various games I'd never played. None of which were bought by my parents.
DATS A LOTTA GAMES.
-
I've got this:

Back to the Future is pretty cool. Money never sucks. Knorr instant whatever is an odd choice. The rest, I can't speak for. I either hate it, or don't know it well enough to form an opinion.
-
I've barely got anything. Christmas sucks present-wise in my case.
Guess reuniting with family isn't too bad, and nice food. But beside that, I've lost interest in Christmas a long while ago.

Well, seeing as I am an Elvis fan, I love the calendar, I also always wanted to buy myself my own sewing kit, I absolutely love the Voice of Holland or any iteration of The Voice (can't wait for the UK version), and Phineas and Ferb is just one of my favorite cartoons.

Not sure when your birthday is, but I bought 18 games just this month, double if you count those I bought for my girlfriend.

Money bags gotta brag.

Well, my ****ing dog had his ****ing entrails ripped apart by some ****ing tampons my ****ing sister left all over the ****ing place. Now we have a ****ing box of ashes to ****ing cuddle with.
On the positive side, I didn't fail out of college. And I got a can of spotted dick. *awaiting a certain someone's reaction*
-
Dude. I have no words to describe how much that sucks. I don't even feel like condolences will cut it.

Dog dies, it sucks.
The swearing, it sucks.

Sorry to hear that, man.
My christmas just ended. Have to get back to the real world now...
-
So sorry to hear that.

C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!
I got $485 total from everybody I told to get me money instead. Cash.

So you got like... 200 euros? Shazing, worthless currency =D
-
Really? 200? Last I heard, the Euro was a sinking ship. In fact, the current exchange rate shows it to only be about 1.3 times the worth of the USD. With a simple online translator, the price in Euros comes up as ~€371, so the difference isn't all that bad. almost twice what you predicted, in fact.
Ah, we're going to have fun.
-
The Euro has huge, huge problems, mostly relating to them not being able to use the usual economic tricks (like inflation) to save itself when one country's economy falls but the others are doing just fine.
Eurotrash scumbag comments like Drace aside, it's an incredibly interesting economic experiment to watch, and I'm very glad they're trying it out.
-
And I'm glad we kept our old currency, too much hassle.
-
Who cares about the economy! I got myself a camcorder!

I missed charas.
-
Maybe you should try aiming harder...
-
I found out the old savings bonds from when I was an infink are mature.
But how much will they be worth? Enough to buy some textbooks or vodka?
-
Is that a yes/no question, or an either/or one?
-
Yes, one.
-
Yes.
