How do you find true top views- not 3/4 or side of simple character like barbarian, fighter, forestman, rogue, mage and humanoid monsters (not too particular)- preferably without and without clothes and simple fight poses?

Fine. Is there some advice how to draw them?

I suppose you could go with the GTA 1- GTA 2 style huh? Also I'm pretty sure there gotta be a whole lot of sega - snes games that thought top view was awesome. If you find any sheets of those - you can use it as a template and won't have to go through the trouble of drawing walking poses and such.
Anyway - the basic thing is that you're gonna see a head with arms, legs show up when you're moving around. So start of with a circle or square, draw some hair at 3/4 of the head and pretend like the unhairy part is a face, or actually add some eyes to that side.
Next up comes the arms, you just add two smaller circles/squares at opposite sides of each other. When moving you can make these going back and forth kinda like the rpgm rtp.
And then we have the legs - when moving you're gonna want to see some leg action. Make the legs show at the top and bottom of the character and then move the whole thing up a pixel to make it look like he's bobbing around a bit.
But if you want something more quality-ish ; go for the GTA style.
