Read up on it and tell me what you think. From quickly skimming, it sounds like if you know C++ you can do just about anything with rm2k3. I am not sure on the limitations and of course C++ is a huge limitation, but even so.
Does anyone know C++ and would like to comment on this or give their thoughts and opinions?
Also, I posted this here because this is the only active board left.

Meh.
If one knows C++, why even mess with this? My POV anyway.

HTML's thoughts reflect my own.

It's a plugin system for RM2k3. It's just that C++ is used to make the plugins. Stuff like bigger Charsets, plug-n-play Battle Systems, more key commands, etc. Replaces these 'patches' that we've been using... once someone makes those plugins.
My questions are whether or not any C++ developers are interested in programming these plugins, and if this will be implemented in EasyRPG at some point.

I've used it to extract whole maps and increase the number of pictures allowed at once. It is very useful.

I wish this came out like, 7 years ago? I would have forced myself to learn C++ and wouldn't have to bother with introductory compsci courses now.

All I really want is a "Magic Defense" stat. If that's possible with this, that'd be great.
-
Looks really snazzy. Kind of a niche thing though; I'm not sure how popular RPG Maker is any more, even with the amateur crowd.
-
Yeah, RMVX ace is really destroying any perceived benefits of using rm2k3. The only bad thing about it is a steeper curve for custom graphics(and of course, scripting is pretty niche)
As for this, it's a shame it took so long to come up with this. Still very cool though.

I know this is a necro bump, but I just thought I would share something that I made using the add ons this topic is about.

It has very nice potential. Very user friendly too. Made this in a few hours, with no prior experience with particle effects whatsoever.
