Title: Help would be appreciated (Welcome Newcomer Thread)
Post by: SOLDIER on May 16, 2012, 05:07:51 AM
Iv'e noticed that in my profile beneath my name is the word "Initiate". Is this like a title based on how many posts you have or something like that? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Yeah, that's pretty much what that is. Hey, I'm going to make this into an introduction thread. Feel free to introduce yourself, ask questions, and generally mingle with the other members. I've noticed a few bad posting habits, like kicking old topics, so I'd like to remind you to read the forum rules if you haven't already, take note of what you're doing before you do it, and just use a little common sense. We're not terribly strict around here, and love to see newcomers, but we will try to make sure you know what is and isn't considered gauche around these parts.

By the way, hi. I'm one of the Global Moderators around here. We have a good-sized staff, so there should be someone around to answer questions and help you out most of the time. Don't be afraid to ask questions or send us private messages about something, just be sure to ask the right things in the right places. If you're unsure, use your best discretion, or just try Test and Welcome. We can clean up if you're off.

Test and welcome is for introductions, right? Isn't making a 'introductions' thread kinda bypassing the whole point?

Welcome. I will eat you with banoffee pie and caramel wafers.

It is, but making it official instead of a "Hey, what's that thing?" thread seemed like a good idea at the time.

Oh >_>  Sorry, I misunderstood and thought you were making this a sticky for everyone to introduce themselves.  Don't listen to crazy ol' moosetroop.

I don't know who either of these people are. I woke up one day and they were both here. Also, I was missing a kidney.

So welcome to Charas. (Watch your kidneys.)
