So. I'm kinda going away over the weekend or so, expecting to spend a whole lot of time on the train. Don't really have time to actually buy a game in a store(although I could probably do it). Stores don't have a lot of psp games for some reason.
Anyway. The playstation store got some games that you can pushase right away and put on your memory stick. Any suggestions on what to get?
Never played disgea or persona, neither shin megami tensei or lord of arcana, already got ff7-9. Been thinking about peace walker or prinny.
Any suggestions? Ideas? What's worth playing?
Already got stuff like monster hunter and dissida.

I can't check PSN for CERTAIN REASONS, but if they have the original Oddworld games, play those. If not, I can only recommend Fat Princess.
-
Also Legend of Legaia is a great PS1 game that most people didn't play. Though the graphics got really old.
Played that on the ps1.
Also doubt that blizzard would allow a diablo 1 download for the playstation store

I know they have the very first one, since my cousin has it.
You could get Red Alert if you're into RTS. Sure, not as great as on the PC, but still pretty fun. I've spent many hours playing this when I was younger.
Then there's Silent Hill, if you like that, too.
Besides that, uhm... well, I'm not sure.

Persona series is amazing and certain time consuming.
-
Persona 3. One of my top ten favorite games and it will last you the whole trip easily. Avoid persona 1 and 2 though. No plot relevance and overall bad plot (2 is good if you get into all the deep stuff), and they are rather boring and bland. If you want to try them, then play a ps1 version on an emulator first, because you probably won't like them that much.
Corpse party is also fun, though as I've said on here times before, the graphics are terrible.
Silent Hill on the psp feels weird... I wouldn't recommend it. I played origins and the original on psp and it kinda ruined things IMO.

Never played disgea
Stop. That. Look no further. Buy Disgaea.

If you want a game with limitless replay value, hundreds of hours of gameplay, many layers of depth and lots of character customization, get Disgaea.
-
I might sound all negative but isn't Disgaea pretty much the same as Final fantasy tactics and those types of games?
-
As far as I know, yes.
Might be more customization and whatnot, but it still is a tactic game. With insane damage such as 1,000k or something.

Why, yes, it is. Problem?

Why, yes, it is. Problem?
Well no. It's just that I recently played through final fantasy tactics advance 2 grimlores of the rift. So I'm kinda looking for something else at the moment.
-
Fair enough. How about Legend of Dragoon? I know it's on the US PSN (finally), but I'm not sure about Europe. It was a great RPG (to me, at least).
-
I hated disgaea. If you like that kind of thing, more power too you, but I honestly can't see a reason to play it other than wasting 100 hours getting as powerful as possible. Characters are entertaining if you like light hearted anime I guess, but I really can't take a game seriously when an item dropped by a plot boss is a zombie horse penis.
-
Tip #1: If you're taking that game seriously, you're doing it wrong.
-
Yeah, Horse Penis all the way!!!! I love how you're given about 10 different approaches to beating each fight. You can use
pure tactics, grinding, item buffs, throwing, geo panels or pretty much anything to exploit a match!
-
So yeah I'm a bad person. Checked out most of the games but in the end settled for the PSone Parasite eve 2, and then bought Final fantasy crisis core.
It was a good weekend though but in the end I played like 50% of the travel time and read books the other.
