Title: Humble Indie Bundle V!
Post by: forgetaboutit on June 09, 2012, 03:55:26 PM
Five days left, who else is going to get it? I already have my copy. Some amazing games there.

I always buy the Humble Bundles. Well, except for the one that was all phone games. Anyway, I feel kind of bad this time, since I couldn't afford to break the average this time. I ended up getting the late additions anyway, since I bought it on the first day it was up. I owned most of the games this time around, so at least it's not like I made that much of a games profit from my low dollar contribution.

I've never really understood what this is. What is this? And is it worth getting?

Wait... so you can actually buy a bundle for 1 cent? Interesting...

I mean, sure, that would label me as cheap arse hole jerk with no compassion, but... 1 cent?

Yeah, I noticed. But I wouldn't pay 1 cent, though.
I would at least pay the average, which is slightly above $8. However, I'm currently poor, so that means no bundle for me...

Only reason I bought it is because of Bastion. And I haven't even played it yet.

I need a non-pitiful amount of money.

Because I want to buy this but I don't have any money also my computer sucks so it probably couldn't run them anyways.

Superbrothers is visually and audibly incredible.
Limbo is amazing.
Amnesia is frickin' terrifying.
Bastion/Braid are masterpieces.
Lone Survivor's alright.
Psychonauts is... apparently good.

I'd say it's a pretty damn fair deal, that is :D

EDIT: I don't like Super Meat Boy - so sue me!

The Humble Bundle is a collection of indie games available for DRM-free download or Steam download (or both, whatever), and you can pay what you want. They request (but don't require) that you pay a minimum of $1, but choosing not to means you don't get Steam codes. If you can meet or beat the current average price, you will get an extra game or two included in your bundle (usually the "top billing" game). Often, if you buy early (or meetslashbeat the average) additional games will be added to the bundle that you can get on top of the rest of the goodness. Many times, you'll get access to things other than just the games, like artwork or music for the games. Finally, you can decide how your money is divided up using slide bars. The available "pay to" groups include two charities that are related to gaming and children, the game developers themselves, and the Humble Bundle organizers (Humble Tip). The games are usually quite fantastic, and rarely disappoint (so far, I'm not disappointed by anything), and the ability to pay as low as a buck (but usually more(must have Steam codes!)) makes this an insane deal. Many of the games range in price from $10 to... I think the highest priced game was $40? Psychonauts was a $60 release back in the day (and is amazing, so shut up), so the point is that i forogot the point i was making?

The point is that it's good.

PS: Zuhane, you'll be hearing from my lawyer.
