I know a bot made this thread but **** it I'm rolling with it.
Everyone's going to say Avengers but I haven't seen Avengers, or Thor, or Ironman 2, or Ironman.
I am looking forward to Prometheus (seeing it Monday) and Batman Triple (in a few weeks). Men In Black 3 looks like it might be good but I probably won't see that.
-
MIB3 Was god awful......ly amazing. I loved it so much.
-
Ahahaha, nice signature edit. I'll miss that power.
-
Umm... Have I seen any new movies this year? I don't think I have!
I tend to end up watching films later on dvd. I just recently watched 'Super', for example. Man that was awesome.
-
I saw The Avengers, and really liked it, just saw Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, thought it was terrible, enjoyed it, and...that's about it theaterwise this year.
Oh, yeah, John Carter. Rented that, really liked it.
-
I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail in 2012.
Also I saw The Avengers.
-
Perfect Blue.
Dun care about the date. 2012 is when I watched it.
-
I love Perfect Blue. I'm a sucker for that sort of film, though.
-
Funny, I downloaded it in 2012.
...still haven't seen it.
If you got time, it is a good movie. If you don't like animation or psychological thrillers then it probably isn't your style.
I love Perfect Blue. I'm a sucker for that sort of film, though.
Try black swan if you haven't already. Really great movie, and since you like the genre... ^w^
Oh, yeah, John Carter. Rented that, really liked it.
How kiddy was the movie? It seemed like a movie with a semi mature theme that they dumbed down to appeal to children, which is why I never gave it a shot.
-
Aye, I saw it at the cinema. It was awesome. I even tried to like ballet for a while >.>
-
@Mic: On one hand, it's got quite a bit of comedic relief. Not "Michael Bay/Fart joke" comedy, actually "heh" funny stuff. On the other hand, there is literally a scene in the movie where Carter is neck deep in slain martians. Not a word of that is hyperbole.
Easily the goriest Disney movie I've ever seen, even if the blood is cobalt blue.
-
I simply rarely enjoy or watch movies. Haven't seen the avengers yet. :D
-
but we have no bots master
-
does changing the name fix the bot magnet problem? :P
-
Possibly.
I think the post content isn't helping.
At least it isn't the cleverbot thread. I think that's one of the most viewed threads in the forum.
-
I hate you!
-
Conan Eddy is an awesome name.
-
So I saw Prometheus. Has anyone else seen Prometheus?
From a few places I've seen on the internet, it's been pretty not too popular which I find confusing - I thought it was really good! There's about two dumb bits, if you've seen them then you'll agree, also spoilers. Wait, before I do that do spoilers even work correctly here yet?
Well I'm using Charas Blue so I can't see the spoiler tag option, so I just won't talk spoilers yet.
But yeah. Not quite as Alien as Alien or Aliens, but a good film in its own right. Batman in 12 days!
-
Everyone likes it beside the people who grew up with Alien and thought it was mind blowing.
Which is the same as the oldie star wars fans that don't like the last 3 star wars movies.
And any person who did something with a franchise before it was used again 10+ years later.
It's all about expectations and protecting what is your childhood memory or something lame like that.
-
Saw 21 Jump Street.
I didn't like it. Imagine my surprise when I saw it had 80+ on Rotten Tomatoes.
But yeah. I see why people'd like it, I just don't share their opinion.
-
ELEVEN DAYS
Boy seeing my "12 days!" in my previous post really undermines this one.
-
So, I just saw Brave.
I was a little disappointed by it.
Story didn't have nearly as much depth as it seemed to want.
I was seriously more satisfied with the short before it (La Luna) than with the film itself.
-
I liked Brave. Probably on the lower halve of best pixar movies though.
I af to chaange my destinee.
-
But I need someone to go with me, because going to the movies alone is kind of sad.
What? Since when? If you enjoy movies, **** everyone else for not wanting to enjoy it as well.
-
Just saw Dark Knight rises.
Despite recent tragedy forever staining it, it ws a very good movie.
Go watch it in the theaters, it won't be nearly as good at home.
Why haven't we had a thread aout the Aurora shootings, anyways?
I know we wouldn't have much to add to the discussion, but I'm surprised we aren't talking about it.
-
Oh yeah, I saw it Thursday, before anyone in any other country did. It was awesome and I would like to see it again.
As for Aurora, well, we don't need a thread do we? It was a huge tragedy and people don't deserve that, but a thread would go from the "this is so sad" "shame you can't be safe even going to movies anymore" circlejerk down to the "see this is the problem with America, guns" "America sucks" wankfest, and then it would just be retarded.
-
Two days for the movie Razor wants?
Also. Spiderman. I really want to watch that.
But I need someone to go with me, because going to the movies alone is kind of sad.
But perhaps the fact that I can't find anyone willing to do it is even more sad.
fml
New spiderman was pretty good. Had some wonky parts though. Also...

What's not to like?? Comedy gold right here.

Totally agree, we would devolve into petty politics really quick, but the fact that nobody even tried to acknowledge it kinda...bugs me a bit.
Anyways, the movie!
Plot was great. Perfect bookend to the series, exactly like I expected.
Tom Hardy was great as "Bane", although I must say that the departure from the comics was fairly extreme...but not "bad", per-say.
Anne Hathaway was shockingly good. Totally owned the role of Catwoman.
Can't say much else without spoiling, so...yeah.
-
Especially without spoilers. But the fanservice was fantastic.
And yes, I love how Nolan took all your "straight from the comics" expectations and flipped them TURNWAYS.
-
I find it awful that I'm laughing as hard as I am about that joke.
-
My mom gave me ten buck on Friday and made a similar joke.
My family tree is a bit ill...

Pretty much.
Papers are writing a lot about it. I mean we actually had some pages with all the victims and who they were, some thing with Nolan saying that he's sad that things happen and Bale locking himself up in his room when he heard the news. Also about some reporter who apparently survived a shooting some years back and moved to get away from it.
Bad things seem to happen this time of year, last year was the shootings in Norway.
Still haven't seen avengers or the new spider man or the new batman. Never get around to actually doing it.
