... was ****ing awesome.
I haven't felt this giddy inside since I lost my virginity five years ago.
That is a lot of years to not feel super amazingly awesomely fantastically giddy to the near-godlike extreme.
Yes.
Even if you haven't watched FSN, I really recommend FZ. Exceptional visuals, characters, music, and plot that is understandable for people new to the fate series. It even managed to change my favorite anime character from Saber to Kiritsugu. <3
I'm not a bot, promise <3 <3

Do evaluate what this is about? Currently not in a position to google search for the heck of it.

Well, I know a lot of people here used to like it, but I guess those are the people that left.
Anyways, the Fate series is TypeMoon's most popular anime series. It is also the series that has one of japan's highest rated adult graphic novels. Since then the series has steered away from the adult aspect of the series and has produced several non-mature rated animes and games, Fate/StayNight being the first. Fate/Zero came out a little less than a year ago, and it is a 25 episode anime based off the prequel visual novel of FSN.
A basic plot summary is that every generation there is a war over the holy grail, a mystical cup capable of granting wishes. Seven mages are chosen to participate in the war, and each mage summons a heroic spirit called a Servant, legends from the past (People like Hercules, King Arthur, Medusa, Alexander the Great, Gilgamesh, etc). The mages and Servants battle until only one remains, at which point the heroic spirit may make a wish, and the mage may do so as well.
To kinda show off the popularity of the anime, if you google image "Saber", you will have to scroll a long time before you find an actual image of a sword or lightsaber or anything of the sort.

You mean FF7?
It was awesome. I felt the ending episodes were rushed but there's an blueray OVA on that coming soon. But yes, ufotable did what I believe was a better animation job than Studio Deen did on Fate/Stay. Now we only need Fate/Hollow.
I still love Saber, as my 2nd fav anime character of all time, although this series based it off more Kiri than anyone. I did love his character to make it top 10 in my list. He's just so tragic and complex. And SO RIGHT.

FF7 was my favourite too, Kijuki.
