Not sure if this whole "LAN café" concept is anything outside Sweden. But what do you guys usually play when you gather together in a dark musky room to geek out into the middle of the night?
Over here it's mostly counter strike (still), Dota, Starcraft, some sort of battlefield (I think), HoN, LoL and such.
(Yes, a bot inspired me to make this thread.)

I don't have enough geeky gamer friends to have LAN parties with. :(
-
My friends do play games, but since they change like every week, I usually play by myself.
Besides, I tend not to like playing with other people because I like taking my time. Last time I played Diablo with other people, they were already beating the **** out of the boss and I was still looking at the loot around and listening to NPC's.
Plus, we always have different schedules and stuff, so... yeah. By myself.

LoL, COD4, and Halo (though I hate halo).
-
Recently it's been Rise of Nations. I'm kinda bored of getting nuked, though.

Man, I don't LAN as much as I used to. We used to play CoD 4, Battlefield 2, Unreal Tournament ('99, the best one), and a few others. More recently, we'll play Gears of War for horde mode. Past that, group games are typically split screen/shared screen games, so no LAN there.

My brother took the PS3 with him to college. I have nothing to LAN with. D:

Oh, so that's why you haven't been on lately.

Yeah. He also took the gaming laptop which has Diablo III, League of Legends, and Tribes Ascend on it. *sigh* :(

And you let him to this because..?
I remember some years back when my classmates honestly skipped classes some days because they were up doing LAN parties in the middle of the week, either at one of these cafés or in someone's house when their parents went away. I never really got the idea of that. But might be better than drinking and partying as far s I know.
Not as into the concept of sitting 3 days with other people in front of an individual computer as one might think. Getting together to just play something for about a day or so is fine tough.
