So, I decided to give mc pvp a shot and logged into a server with good rating. At first I kept getting killed and it was very frutrating. BUT, I eventually made it down into a mine and managed to scrounge up some iron armor and then a diamond. but where I was had been raided of all its diamonds for a long time and I couldn't find anymore. So, I just started walking north as far across plains, jungle, snow and desert biomes and a ****ing ocean until finally I landed on a sick mushroom biome with only one inhabitant. I dug down and found a completely untouched mineshaft and managed to pull 10 diamonds out of it.
So basically, I'm saying if anyone's interested you should join my faction and we should build a massive underground fortress made of obsidian and bedrock (ambitious much?) or just have fun dinking around. The faction I started is currently called the "Diamoneers" and consists of me as the owner and only member. But the name is pretty lame and I was thinking Charasians might be a better one. I also don't want to let anyone I don't know in on my little goldmine. If anyone is interested, lemme know. I got a shitload of iron to get you started.

Made this in survival. I don't understand your concepts of "ambitious".
Anyway, yeah, I'll participate. I almost never play anything other than vanilla survival with a few friends, so I may need a crash course.

That may well beat everything I've built in minecraft.
And yeah, this is my first time on a pvp server, but we should be prepared to lose everything... =\ which is kind of bleh, but the spot I found is really well secluded. Oh, did I mention the mushroom biome it's sitting under too? Which is pretty badass.

So anyway, how will we be going about meeting up/communicating/etc.? I'm on the server right now, but I haven't a clue what to do from here. Do we still have that Charas IRC or something?

We can communicate via here. that should be fine. I wont be on until later tonight or tomorrow. ill have to invite you to the faction. Then you can teleport right to the base. so we can consider tean chat.

Communication via here seems awfully... Vague. Like, One person might say "ok, go time", and an hour later, somebody else will take notice.
Man, I wish there was some sort of alert that we could send out to anyone interested in participating.

Yeah to be more organized in case of attack. we can find something. I'm sure therez some application that could send texts to everyone or something else similar for an i.stant.notificafion. but that seems like something we could take time to consider.

Most PVP games I see online use Skype.
Also, I'm going to decline.
I don't like PVP games, as a general rule.

I'd like to join since I need something to kill time these days, but... I'm not too fond of Minecraft's PvP. I mean... all's fine until I lose everything from dying. Wish you guys were more of a peaceful clan.

Who's to say that this newly-formed alliance isn't peaceful? I'm creative as ****, so I plan on doing that kind of stuff. Defending ourselves is just one of those things you gotta do from time-to-time, y'know?
But yeah, losing things every time you die can get frustrating in a pvp environment.

See, if it wasn't for that, I'd do it. I know the main focus wouldn't be killing each other, but it would still be possible, and I hate losing everything. It frustrates me. Some people don't mind it that much, but for me that's a huge fun factor, for I would have wasted so much time gathering everything only to lose it to someone with better gear... or skill. Or reinforcements.
Though... I could always join and disconnect at the slightest sign of threat!

Honestly, I'm interested in the pvp concept. It sounds interesting, as opposed to the communistic style I've already played for as long as I've had the game.
On the other hand, I've played DayZ...

haha, that's fine. I had to log off to open chrome cause my laptop can't handle both. but uh, press t to type. press /f help 'any # 1-11" for info on what commands you can type in page 3 is about factions and accepting faction request
/f chat changes between public/ally/ and faction chat mode

I think I joined the faction, but I am a bit uncertain.
EDIT: Yeah, I think it worked. For anyone else confused about this, just type "/f join <Diamoneers> [player=YOUR NAME]"
Without the ""s, and your name where it says "YOUR NAME".

Unfortunately, I was just getting off. I wasn't planning on staying up this late, since I need to be up early tomorrow morning. Now that the initiation process is complete, though, we can handle the rest of it tomorrow. I managed to teleport to the faction base, but it looks like I can't touch a thing.

I'm currently online. Getting some basics. Did you know that there's a mine right behind one of your walls? I'm checking it out.
After a little fiddling around, I think I need faction moderator privileges in order to modify faction turf. Not sure.

Yeah. the whole area was a mine. i cleared it out. i figured thats where we could mine wood from. also i wont be online tonight you may want to seal that whole up. i used stone so itd be kind of discreet. i figured that would be our main base base. with faction territory we can seal chests and doors so only members of our faction can use then unless a more powerful faction comes along. which is unlikely considering our secludedness.
edit: also ill just make you an owner as well when i get online next.

I've been busy on meepcraft. I just play in the "risk free" PvP modes on that server.
Modes like CTF, and Survival Games.
