Buy it, play it.
That is all!!
Here's a song from it. It's so emotional and beautiful! And it plays during an important point in the game so it fits extremely well!

Oh lawd! Is it really good? That's another reason to get a 3DS. I love Fire Emblem...
-
I had never really played a Fire Emblem game extensively before. The only other one I played before was that one with Lyn in it for the GBA, and while I thought it was alright, I wasn't really that blown away.
This game though... this game! I bought it on a whim and I am so very glad I did. It may very well be my favorite 3DS game, surpasing even that of OoT3D. I was originally afraid it would be fairly short because I had blown through 10 chapters in a matter of hours, but now I'm 25 hours in at what feels like the halfway point. I would highly recommend this title to anyone with a 3DS.

I have to re-buy a 3DS :/ Mine broke about a year ago... three months after purchasing it.

This won't be released until april over in Europe but I'm planning on getting it. Weren't they working on some sort of Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei as well?
Loved FE7 (Lynn game) on the gba, Sacred stone not so much. Felt like the one before was better. Loved both path of radiance and radiant dawn on the GC and wii. Although I tend to get bored with the awesome animations and turn them off. Love the animations.
Gonna get it once released.

How did you break your 3ds?
-
If I ever break my 3DS, I may cry a bit. I'm an ambassador! I practically have diplomatic immunity with that title.

I hear you can whore off your female units and make anime babies with improved skills and growth rates. Truth?

In a manner of speaking. I didn't really research how in-depth it goes.
-
Yes you can create babies. You can easily overpower your people.

Kicking this, I know it's been a month but the game was finally released over here in Europe.
Game is great, the new additions to the gameplay makes a difference and are actually really interesting. Characters standing next to each toher recieve bonuses based on their support rank. And pretty much any unit can do support with any unit. Supporting two units of opposite gender makes them marry in the end which gives them an extra boost. And apparently something more later on (possibly babies)
Also, characters can bump in to shield someone from damage or assist in the attack when on adjacent tiles.
Put this next to the fact that you can pair one unit as support to another and it's awesome. You gain some increased stats (depending on the class supporting) and a higher chance at shield / attack intervene.
Hard is a bit too hard for me though, gonna play it on normal till I get a better hang of it.
Peace out.

Here I was just bitching about how Europe is getting the sweetass Assassin's Creed IV Black Chest Limited Edition, as well as the One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 Limited Edition, while we in North America are getting diddly. Yet you just got your hands on a game that I've already thoroughly played and enjoyed having gotten the final DLC. Guess we both get the shaft every now and then, eh?
But yes, this is an excellent addition to the Fire Emblem series. I enjoyed every moment of it, logging in as of yesterday 94 hours. The hard mode does eventually get manageable, but it does take roughly 10 hours longer to get in to a good groove where you can comfortably level your characters, but really I felt little accomplishment in completing this difficulty. Not worth the extra effort.
Do enjoy the game, I know I certainly did.

I'm getting the feeling that I'm spending more time orchestrating a cult than sharpening my fierce warriors. I keep spending more and more time pairing units up to increase their support so that I can watch a terrible marriage proposal. Seriously, most of these are just so... Awful.
-
Yes... yes they were. They experimented with the system, and in many regards it was a success, but the writing and character development are both abysmal. It is reasonable to expect given the variety you can do with said pairings, but that still does not excuse it.
At least they are trying. One of the greatest things I felt to come out of RPGs in recent days are the social link systems (Persona 3 and 4), and I am happy to see it isn't being overlooked. Maybe someday the craft will be perfected.
