Can you be more descriptive? What happened before you saw this issue, at one point does this issue show up (after the windows loading screen?), and what operating system do you have?
-
hard drive has bad sectors or some crap, my bros trying to fix it now.
-
Well it's alive again! I think the harddrive just over heated so many damn times it finally said **** this and died. I'm gonna get a cooling pad.
-
Glad to hear you're back in business.

Chances are, unless your computer gets vaporized, game files are recoverable. I just recovered a game I was working on 10 years ago, from a broken laptop hard drive, that had been reformatted with a new operating system installed.

oh, i didn't lose any data, i just didn't get to work on it for awhile lol my bad.
-
So since I made this topic about my laptop, let me mention the other problems it has and see if anyone has any solutions other than getting a new one.
Occasionally iTunes will skip during playback when scrolling down webpages of if I'm doing something else.
My internet browser (firefox) tends to freeze up for a few minutes alot.
Videos tend to skip and freeze up when playing, especially on youtube and other sites that heavily use videos.
Those are the main annoying ones.

Sounds like a RAM problem to me, like your machine can't get enough memory to keep stuff running.

the RAM is 5.1 it says.
