I got a bit carried away talking about possible DLC's for Windwaker.
Anyway, the concept here is easy.
What kind of DLCs would you like to see for games, new or old? Doesn't have to be "DLC" as such, more like, "What would you have liked to see in this game" kind of thing, but we pretend that it's supposed to be a DLC for a steam re-release or something and you need to pay for it. So like, add a pricetag or something.
First thing that comes into mind is a multiplayer mode for Final Fantasy Crystal chronicles on the GC without the need of GBA and cables. Would gladly pay $10 for that.
WiiWare news, download this addon that allows up to 3 players to join your quest in Final fantasy crystal chronicles! With this praised addon players do not have to own a gamecube > gba cable or a GBA. The issue with batteries running out while playing will therefore be a memory forgotten. Play up to 4 people, using the same screen and nothing else than Gamecube controlers.
The option to play online with the help of a Wii is coming later this year, you no longer have to met the people you are playing with. Join random caravans or invite friends to join yours!
And go!

That, but with TLoZ: Four Swords Adventure.
-
Aww, man, some expansion packs to Fallout 1 or 2 and multiplayer for them would be killer.
-
Could you be a bit more specific?
C'mon, pretend that you're selling this. Gotta do some sales pitch or something.
What would be in the expansions pack? An arena with tons of enemies? More quests? Additional items and stuff? A new place to explore entirely?
-
I always like create a character add-ons and dlcs.

Just more of the game really. More areas to explore, more quest to do and more of the lovely setting and dark humor of the game. Like "The throne of Baal" expansion to Baldur's Gate 2 or "Bloodmoon" to Morrowind, something that adds hours of new gameplay to the game. Granted this is nothing that would be done as a DLC today since it would be to much work and the DLC would cost too much, the best one could hope for would be a half hour long quest line for $5.

More than anything, I would want DLC for Shadow of the Colossus that featured at the very least, a handful of the scrapped Colossi. Glossing over my collection, noting a few select favorites, Persona 3/4, Crash Bandicoot 2, Golden Sun, Valkyria Chronicles, the only one that stands within my list of favorite titles, yet feels incomplete is SotC.

Surprised nobody said this... How about Super Smash Bros 4? Add on additional music and characters, stages, costumes etc. It's the perfect candidate for DLC.
So you like playing with Isaac, well here's his son for 2.99! Different class and wields an axe instead of a sword.
So you're a fan of Ike? Well you can buy Caineghis for 4.99! Master his ability to transform into his Lion Laguz form!
New remix for Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Fight Against Ganon. Only .99!! Get dat **** cuz!!

I know I'm a big dreamer, but how about
FREE DLC

I know I'm a big dreamer, but how about
FREE DLC
but free DLC is like, a patch right?
-
It's only a patch if it doesn't add anything other than bug fixes. I mean c'mon; we live in the 2010s.
-
Bug fix and balancing.
And free DLC probably won't happen anymore, safe for a very few games. Why? Well simply because they know people will pay, so why hand it out for free?
It sucks, I know. It used to be "Hey guys, I've got a new idea for this game we released 2 months ago." and now it's "Hey guy, I've got an idea of which part of the game we can lock for a month until we charge $15 for it to be unlocked.". Alas, there isn't much we can do about it.
Smash Bros. music/level/character DLC's could be cool, indeed.
Soul Calibur V: Previous title characters, even if only for multiplayer. I never bought the game because they took off like 7 characters that I liked and played. And even if some of them have replacements, it's not the same. Not sure about prices, though. Maybe like $15 (since it's the usual price) for a bundle of them.
Minecraft: Sky Dimension. For free, of course.
Yeah, I know it's already sort of created but not implemented, but I read somewhere they decided to maybe not include it, after all. F*ckers.
Aside from that, uh... to be honest I had many ideas before of stuff I wish was included in X or Y game, but I can't remember...

Blizzard tends to release stuff for free though. Like all the patches in Diablo 2 and 3. Also starcraft 2 have had some neat stuff.
Also monster hunter tri ultimate is doing this with the event quests. It's pretty neat, the release it, we download it and we play 'em.
I suppose that mentioning MMORPGs like WoW or Guild wars might attracts captain obvious though.

Yeah, some games do have free DLC's, but... majority of them don't.
-
At the same time, most of the DLC content were pre-ordering stuff or collectors edition stuff. Back in the days, you couldn't get your hands on it unless you did get a preorder or collectors edition. Which is kinda okay, the bonus you got from preordering it is that you get access to this content before everyone else. Also you get it for free.
Like Dampierre in Soul calibur V, none of the stores here in Sweden had him as a preorder bonus. So the only way to get him was through a DLC. On the other hand, preordering Borderlands 2 gave us Gage and the premium content for free once it was released.
That just reminded me:
"Borderlands 2 classic vault hunters.
Do you miss manhandling your enemies as Brick? Light some people on glorious fire as Lilith? Maybe you prefered to sit back and snipe away with Mordecaih, and let's not forget about Roland the soldier. All that can now come true once again with the Classic vault hunter pack. 4 New classes are added to the rooster at the starting of a new game. Why would it be possible for the classic vault hunters to be playable, you might ask? Well that's because of a timeparadox of course. Play as Lilith and watch Lilith's actions as she will continue to do because you are the irregularity that threatens to tear the universe apart!"

Sounds comical enough to be in boarderlands.

Naw man, back in the day, extra outfits and stuff were available by either unlocking them through gameplay completion, using cheat codes, when a patch released with a new level or skin or something, or when a full-on expansion pack came out, packed to the brim with new content. Now they nickle and dime us for every scrap of content (sometimes already on the disk), and sometimes just for extra options (remember the RE5 multiplayer nonsense?).

Hah, yeah. Man, back in the day, if you were cheating at Goldeneye 64, it meant you were DAMN GOOD at the game!
