Dudes... this brings me back ages.

My return will usher in a new era for charas. To hell with the dying decay of it's current degeneracy, a new social order shall arise: tell Darkfox not to forget his blunderbuss.

It's kind of embarrassing how absolutely unprepared for trolls we were back then. Like, completely naive to the concept.
And now everyone does it to everyone. Maybe not here, but on the internet it's just a thing that happens all the time.

What?! Really? I know that happens on Deviant Art all the time, but I know for a fact a site I'm using to promote a web comic idea uses a red flag system and doesn't tolerate what they call "toxic posting".
Myself I let it slide off my armor now and try not over react to trolls...Except for the enemy monster sprites in the Dentverse games XD

Says you. I was dealing with an admin control panel in no way prepared to ban anything but names (no IPs) and had a staff full of people like Ghostclown that thought he wasn't a big deal. What a clusterfrack all that was.

Alright so technology wasn't on our side either.
But I think it would be fair to say that most people these days can easily spot and deal with trolls, no?

Not really, some people can't tell trolls from actual people. Especially those who casually cruise the internets, or old people.
Some people will get it and some people just won't , Jonathan swift was probably the first troll back in the 18th century when he wrote "A modest proposal". and that's like 250 years ago.

Alright, I guess I was being modest by including everyone. What I've actually been saying is that I know all about the trolls and I am also the best person on the internet.
See this is what you get for disagreeing with me.

Was that before Machiavelli? Because he was a fantastic troll.

No that was like 1500, but people are still not sure if that guy was serious or not.
