Considering how big the fanbase is there must be a few people out here that are engaged in this hobby, be it painting, playing the tabletop, playing the games or reading the books. So tell me guys, who of you are busying their time with this?
Myself, I just recently got back into this hobby. About 8 years ago was collecting a Dark Elf army from the Fantasy series and playing the tabletop but sadly the many times I had to move was the dead of my army (either lost or broken pieces). I've always been a fan of the games, especially those by Relic (<3 Dawn of War and II) and been reading books from the Horus Heresy series (the back story of Warhammer 40,000). Currently I'm building two armies, a Tyranid swarm and a Space Wolves one, with creating some Blood Ravens just for fun.
I'd show some models but honestly I haven't finished anything yet because I need more paints.

I used to play Lizardmen and Imperial Guard, but only a little. I never remembered the rules entirely to be honest XD

I had my first 40k game last thursday with two friends. It took us 5 hours for 2.5 turns. That stuff takes time to learn man, holy ****.

My buddies and I had weekly 40k battles. I had a badass Tyrand army, it was awesome because I had 5 or more guants for every one of their soldiers. I don't play anymore because since I moved to Cali, I haven't found anyone who plays.
There is one thing I HATE about warhammer. The cost. My buddy bought a small plastic tank called the baneblade. That plastic tank costs $200, and it completely destroyed everyone else if it was used. My best unit, the carnifax (costs $50 or so), had a chance of damaging it, if I rolled double 6s. Other than that, if you want a standard 2000 point army, you'll be spending at least a few hundred dollars.

Yeah, it's a pricey hobby. A 2000 point army is really costy though, probably around 400 euros (so even more dorrahs). They'd get me to buy more if everything didn't cost that much.

I once wanted to get into it, but my friends are not into it as usual. Basically had to force them to even put down a controller and play Munchkins.

I'm lame and just play MTG

Where MTG is concerned, I am also lame.
(Some of the M14 stuff looks way cooler than I was expecting. Have you seen that witch?)
