Say what you will about the mobile game trend but damn those sprites are good.

If only the game had more depth QAQ
I was seriously itching for something as fleshed-out battle-wise as Square's other games, but with the whole reaching cast stuff...
I know it's the whole "simple, free to play, microtransaction" stuff, but I would've thrown good money after the above.

I honestly don't care much about the game itself or the microtransactions, I just know that I love the sprites of ff7 onwards characters, monsters and backgrounds. Keeps my heart pounding in this HD and 5000 FPS gaming culture.

I hate how they used the old FF4 sprites compared with the rest. They look so out of place.

I play it every day. Started about 1-2 months after it came out. Sunk about 20 dollars in it so far. Only got Lightning and Sazh's unique soul breaks atm.

The game is very addicting in a power-creep sort of way. Tons of weapons to collect that can only be gotten by chance with a limited supply of an item or with cash (still by chance). I have read that some individuals have spent >$1000 for the purposes of getting a single item.

Skinner box games make me feel disappointed on mankind. :/

I don't know what any of this is, but I don't think I like it.

Phone game, ff style, you have stamina, spend stamina to enter dungeons. Like Korean MMOrpgs.

But this is something you can still appreciate

Sounds terrible.

Fair enough.

I gave it a shot a while back, I found it too slow and tedious.

I'm not against free-to-play games, I just have never spent any money on any of the ones I've played. Except for Path of Exile, I bought some inventory tabs because I've put about 250 hours into it, and at that point I felt like I kind of owed it to the developers for a job well done. Free-to-play games dominate the market over here, you can't go anywhere without seeing people glued to their phones playing Monster Strike or Puzzle Dragon.

I did the same for Dota2, only we're talking 500 hours or so.
